Same genre, so it's not a bad guess, but no. That one was Leo G. Carroll ("Alexander Waverly" from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.) in the 1955 schlockfest Tarantula.

This one has a number of titles I'll accept, and all of them are unique enough that if you get any of them I know you've got the right movie.
