Steelers 2024 thread

Naw, we'd kick the shit out of Mount Union. It was an ugly game, but a good one.

Garrett and Chubb played really well.

Look. Pitt is good. I've always been a fan of Tomlin sometimes an offensive scheme just doesn't gel with teams from year to year or with different personnel. Pitt will be there with kc Houston buff and Baltimore.
Bad loss!
Tomlins all time record against below .500 teams is 50-51. Terrible
Najee sucks. Like watching a tight end play RB!
When is the last time Fitzpatrick actually made a play? He was 30 yards behind the line in a driving snowstorm. Always a step behind.
Keanu Benton sucks! Just doesn’t make plays.
Why no help for Moore with Garrett in the first qtr?! You had to know he was going to bring it last night!!!

Steelers always do this, playing down to their opponent. Someone should let them know that touchdowns are allowed in the first half. It’s like the opponent’s 40 has an invisible barrier. If not for Boz’s amazing leg they’d be in deep shit. I dunno how many 50+ yarders he’s made this year but it feels like a lot.

Browns seemed to get Garrett plenty of 1 vs 1s .

They trade for Williams, he catches a touchdown pass in his first game and hasn't been targeted since. Is that on the QB or OC? Not enough play action especially early on. The runs were too predictable.

Tomlin has been reading the stories about being coach of the year and outsmarted himself. Going for it on 4th down too much, changing QB's too much, along with the usual timeout and clock mismanagement.

Just saying pitt is good. Not super bowl good yet. But they're in the hunt with buff Houston kc and Baltimore.
Any given Sunday though!
And on and on it goes... blame the coach when they lose, never mention the coach when they win.

It's an observation I made about 10 years ago, and it always rings true. Nobody mentions coaching when they win. Ever. Nobody mentions terrible execution by players when they lose. Ever.

Nevermind that both offensive and defensive lines played like shit in Cleveland. It was all bad coaching. Lol.

They say "perception is 90% of reality". This is great example of that.

You seem to take this as some type of racial issue and it’s just not true. In fact it’s a little tiresome.

Tomlin gets blamed for his players turning the ball over or committing penalties or missing blocking assignments. Lol. It's ludicrous, the things he gets blamed for.

Anyway, point is lots of sports fans are terminally stupid. I'm reminded of that every football season.
