I understand the topic of the thread but I'm not even sure why bringing up a person's race in this manner, as in in an insulting manner, was necessary or appropriate.

While I'm not one for the drama NOR am I taking sides in any of this... this all did not sit well with me and I hope that you all can understand why and respect that. Wow I've dealt with racism from all points pretty much being Puerto Rican and German. Puerto Rican side from New York and grandparents from Puerto Rico. And my other parent is from Germany. Being a military brat, I've been all over. To some white people I'm considered a minority, because I'm mixed so I've been called names and slurs and been discriminated against. Too some Hispanics, I'm not a true Hispanic because I don't know Spanish. So I get treated like less. And to some black people, I'm considered a white girl because my hair isn't curly enough or skin dark enough and i get treated like an enemy when it comes to looks alone for discrimination and racism very rarely is based on anything other than looks. You can't change how you look or who your parents are or your nationality for that matter. I'm not going to go in depth or detail on how racism has affected me and my life, but I will say I judge people on how they treat me not their looks. I don't think anyone is better because the color of their skin. I felt bad that one client felt the need to disclose his skin color before scheduling as if I'd turn him away because of it. Or should he feel bad because of it. I hate feeling judged because of uncontrollable circumstances. But honestly I don't feel anyone should have to prove why they are better or shouldn't be turned away to someone who has made the choice, or had the choice made for them, to judge and dislike a whole race. If you want to have fun, relax and enjoy yourself, why do you seek out someone who has clear indication of providing the opposite and apparently nothing at all to you? But then again, why are we still pushing race topics? Like honestly, have you ever seen a conversation change a bigots mind or a pimps ad?
