Steelers 2024 thread

A great coach puts his players in the best position to succeed. Tomlin doesn't do that. Originally Posted by Iceman

Huh? Where have I ever made it about race? I think you have me confused with some others in here.

Tomlin gets blamed for his players turning the ball over or committing penalties or missing blocking assignments. Lol. It's ludicrous, the things he gets blamed for.

Anyway, point is lots of sports fans are terminally stupid. I'm reminded of that every football season. Originally Posted by tommy156

And THAT'S surely saying something. Because there's
A LOT of good opinions in this thread. ...

Shoulda coulda woulda is not real life or sports.
Another viewpoint is some of their wins shoulda coulda woulda been loses too. Pitt has the record they should.
Many teams would like to have their record Originally Posted by winn dixie

I do think you get a little sensitive to Tomlin criticism. He’s not above that.

Anyone else looking forward to Hard Knocks?

I know it's not as good as when it started due to the teams having say so in what gets aired, but I still watch.

Bullshit no call on the wilson interception, how can u not call illegal use of hands on pickens?

I honestly think pickens mouth has made officials look the other way on fouls agai st him

Another stupid time management decison by tomlin or wilson at the end of the half.. would have had 12 seconds left to run at least 1 or 2 more plays instead of getting a field goal
Lol. 9-3 and two games up on the Ravens. Bitch about that if you must, but I'll never understand why.

Steelers just proved they can survive and advance in a shootout. They keep showing they can win in different ways. This was also the highest scoring game in the NFL this year. Nobody saw that stat coming, guaranteed.

I'm loving this team more than I have in 5+ years.

clock management sucks, it didnt matter but it might another game. when you settle for a fg instead of 2 shots for 7, it will bite you in the ass

pickens needs to grow the fuck up and stop acting like a high schooler

again his bullshit cost the team on his last penalty

they are 9-3 and have a shot at winning the division. wilson looked great. if he plays like that, who knows how far they can go
Every single coach and team in the NFL has clock management issues from time to time. Ask a Bears fan about it sometime.

Tomlin is not above criticism, but when the only posts in here after a convincing win are negative and pointing out flaws, I'll be here to balance that out with positivity.

The Steelers are one of the Top 5 teams in the NFL right now. I'm not going to waste a minute of my life complaining about that.
Russ was on fire man! Great game. Nothing on that side of the ball to bitch about other then wondering if Pickens has any brain cells whatsoever!! Glad to see Tomlin finally call his shit out with media. Finally.
D had enough splash plays to help. Our linebacker room is nasty.

With Pickens - that's exactly what happened!
He runs with his mouth and hand gestures on most every
play, whether he's fouled or not. ... And thus gets
a bad reputation with officials.
Pickens needs to just shut up and play.

... Then, there's Porter jr. ... Another goof who
has his hands ALL OVER the receiving bloke.
It's to the point that HE'S surely getting himself
a bad reputation also.

... However, THAT said - A Win is A Win! ...

I think they finally let Wilson do what he wanted on the field. This was the most play changes/audibles since Ben.

It was good to see the offense overcome Pickens stupid penalties. If not for Porters DPI's this could have been a blowout.
