You forgot that what was also needed was heavy doses of racism, bigotry, and a complete suspension of Consitutional rights, including due process. Having a Congress that prioritizes fascistic loyalty over serving the people who fucking elected them helps a great deal also.

Have you looked up our credit rating lately? Seems not. And we will see just what the effect is of adding $2.4 TRILLION to the national debt has on alla those great "indicators."
