Nice pic Reese.

ECG and I both have boot holsters.
She also has an inner thigh holster.
I have a jacket carry.
We have a few saddle scabbards with the horse equipment as well.
We have varmints out where a couple dinosaurs are planning to go out to pasture. Quite a bit less than when we started cleaning that up.

Smith and Wesson and Colt make superior weapons, but this should be a fair fight.

Both sell hand cannons, but this is about the S and W model 29 (Dirty Harry weapon) and the Colt Anaconda. The Colt is a couple hundred bucks over the model 29, but that was for a stainless model vs. the black model 29. IMHO the Colt is a beautiful weapon while the model 29 is a brute. Both are .44 magnum.

Anybody a gun nut and have any thoughts?

Colt Anaconda is on top, while the bottom is a S and W model 629, a very close cousin to the 29.

Shooting at the range, same ammo, same shooter, same distance and targets, it wasn't even close as the S and W was the superior weapon. I was hardly able to form much of a group with the Anaconda, but formed a great group with the S and W. Also this was the first trip to the range with either weapon. And yes, they both kicked like mules.

Beautiful revolvers.

I lean to more compact or regular size options for practical carry and use. My minimum caliber is 9 mm, self defense ammo now with hollow points will do some damage. I’d love 40 cal, but only one I have that doesn’t have that snappy recoil is a SigSauer elite cost like 1200, but I do carry on occasion as it holds 10 rounds.

Stay safe all! I’ve had several recent encounters in which I had my piece pulled and in my hand, unknown to my potential assailant…once last month at a gas station.
Stay wary…. The car jacking and distractions to get you off-balance are terrible in that situation —-after approaching me, my instincts landed with my gun in my hand under the dash. I told the distracting party that if she didn’t leave immediately she would be injured very badly….. message received and she bolted away. She rolled up in a car and blocked mine and started talking to me like she was going pick me up.

Afterwards did investigation on the Internet. It’s a common scheme from California and New York areas during Covid, to carjack or Rob with a distracting woman, and some guy rolls up in a ski mask or bumps a car into yours. Thank God for the second amendment.

I have a pair of the walnut stock Diablos. Just beautiful workmanship. Quit carrying Sig semi-auto from Sherriff Deputy mate's advice. Leave shell casings at the scene. Snub nose 357 loaded with 38 special hollow points, but a Diablo in the vehicle also.

Need to get some whores....er....sheilas in the woods. Would love to get my dick sucked while firing a few rounds.

Cheers

Now that we're spending most of our time out where tumbleweeds roll, ECG decided to get her own rifle. So... She's quite happy and has tight groups at 200 yards with her:

Winchester Model 70 308 Featherweight with a Leupold VX scope.
Gunz are like religion are like penii. Why?

1. It's OK to have one.

2. It's OK to be proud of yours.

3. It's not OK to whip it out in public to impress or intimidate other people minding their own business;

4. It's never OK to try to ram it down another's throat, CNCS be damned!

i'm a big fan of the power of a 12 gauge. has anyone tried a 10 gauge? if so, how was the kick? was it accurate? and what did your group look like?
