I used that same analogy recently and I really believe it. Between our own in fighting, what looks to me like a Chinese Cultural Revolution that ends badly and China right there to pick up the pieces, quite the irony there I would think, I think the decline officially begins. States like California, already losing it's tax base as is New York, will now be overrun with "legal" immigrants ending up with no middle class, only the very rich in Pelosi like compounds and millions of street people wondering around like in the zombie movies.
I see on the news a Mexican smuggler walking with 4 children under the age of 10 and when border patrol starts approaching, he flees, leaving the children wet and bewildered.
Our new immigration policy says that no un-accompanied child can be detained much less deported so take a guess as to who our new arrivals will be and 30 to 40% of them come with Covid.
Yeah, this is all going to work out just fine.
AND I repeat, nobody should get a dime of money that didn't personally lose a job, or a business owner that lost a business and can prove the lose was do to government orders to shutdown.
Rome may have suffered through a devastating plague but that isn't why it fell and I doubt history will record our fall because of a pandemic, it will be because stupidity.
And anybody that thinks this Democrat party is going to stop this fall instead of accelerate it, is naive at best.
