Anyone else having suicidal fantasies?

My birthday is coming up (the 20th! I'll be 26!) and I've been wanting to kill myself on my birthday for sometime. Have you ever wanted to kill yourself, Brooke? Originally Posted by zacknite

Friend of mine told me he planned to open the Bible and whatever he landed on he would do that day.
It went something like this.
”Therefore Judas went and hung himself.”
Surprised by that he tried again.
”Go ye therefore and do likewise.”
After being more disturbed, he tried again.
”Whatever thou doest... do quickly!”
“Thus saith the Lord,” I told him.
Best to just enjoy life till your called home.

Yes AKA the "Ya'll need more Testosterone" imbalance. Some folks have said Product No.17 is the new "Holy Grail" - maybe try it. Originally Posted by Inversion

I can't imagine what would make anyone consider suicide as a solution to any problem.

My brother-in-law ate a shotgun 10 years ago. He left behind a beautiful young wife and a darling 4 year old daughter. He was on the phone with his wife and asked her to call their daughter and put the phone on speaker. He told them what he was going to do and then did it.

I've always considered suicide as a long term solution to a short term problem. Whatever you're going through will pass.

I don't mean to proselytize (well maybe I do) ... turn your life over to Christ, join a temple (my other brother-in-law became a Buddhist shortly after his younger brother killed himself), my wife became a Born Again Christian - join Judaism or become a Muslim. Just find something that fits you.

Join a dating site (just don't anything stupid with the ladies you meet...!!)

Go on-line and do a little research - there are local clubs that are interested in a a multitude of activities. Join one or five. Join Toastmasters. Just get out and do something...

You've got your whole life in front of you. It's up to you to make something of it. Most of us don't have the perfect life handed to us on a silver platter. We work hard every day to make life work.

Just don't take the short term solution...!!
