Did Anyone Watch Day 2 Of The Second Democratic Debate?

Overall - the most interesting and impressive candidate to me was Andrew Yang. Originally Posted by Austin Ellen

I heard nobody brought up Russia again. Three years of the bullshit and the moderators and candidates have abandoned it. Originally Posted by gnadfly

Yeah, it's great watching the left eat their own. I watched a little of the post coverage on MSNBC and they were totally bashing the debate format and style of CNN. Originally Posted by eccielover

why bash CNN? they set up the format for ratings. deal with it. the smart candidates sat for lengthy interviews after the debate, where we learned much more about them.
I like his idea. I see him as "thinking outside the box" and I like those kind of folks. I also understand poverty.
If you have no resources left and no money - you become hopeless and desperate. And desperate people will do desperate things. I think he gave an honest answer to climate change and the article that you showed said it was "defeatism" -- I think it refreshing. I can see his motivation and energy coming thru. He's not gonna do it in 2020 but I think a good future in politics.

And Biden - I saw an old man that stuttered and couldn't remember his own text number for Joe. I actually cringed at some parts. But hey - if they want to put him up for the nominee I am all for it - Trump will wipe the floor with him. It will be over almost before it starts. I can't believe the dems can not see that - it's glaring to me. I watched it with one of my friends who can't stand Trump - at the end of the debate he said - "well,as of right now - you don't have anything to worry about. Trump will win." I already knew that,of course.

So you agree with Yang that everyone should get $1,000 a month?

FWIW. Brian Kahn disagrees with you.

Andrew Yang Is the Most Dangerous Democratic Presidential Candidate

Most disagree with you on Biden's performance -- far from great but much better than the 1st debate. It isn't easy playing defense all night long when idiots like DeBlasio are coming after you. Probably Harris will be hurt based on last night's performance. We shall see in the next few days whether or not Biden drops in the polls.

The clear winner last night was Booker.

As an aside, I watched the Stephen Colbert show from the last 2 nights and he did an imitation of Bernie Sanders that had me on the floor laughing. Perfect voice imitation and his arms flapping. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

And that both of those networks were discussing the major infighting in the debates(aka eating either own).

It wasn't my opinion, it was theirs.

And at least from the results of the first night the ratings thing didn't quite come CNN's way.

Including federally funded programs such as SNAP and Medicaid. This $1000 a month would be exactly that.

What you can't see is the number of people in this country who have tired of Donald Trump and would vote for Tweedledee the Wonder Dummy over Trump. What you don't remember is how close the 2016 election really was -- a few thousand votes in 3 states brought Trump the victory. 3 states where his popularity has been decreasing and which voted solidly Democratic in 2018.

You think Trump will win in 2020 because the Democrats don't have an ideal candidate. Hillary Clinton was not an ideal candidate and she almost won. Trump, as usual, will try to turn this campaign into one of negativity. My hope is that whoever is eventually named the Democratic nominee does his/her best to keep the contest out of the gutter. That is where Trump does his best work.
"Give every body $1000 a month".

The ultimate "participation trophy".

He has more money and a better organization. The Dems are hopelessly moving to extreme left. The old guard has no choice to get behind Biden. They’re just as reluctant about him as they were with Hillary. Good luck Speedy. Your adopted party has another conundrum on their hands.

I consider myself to be Independent at this point in time. I will probably vote for Cornyn for Senator in 2020. Interesting but true -- in the last 2 weeks I have received letters from Melania Trump, Donald Trump, and the RNC asking for my support in the 2020 campaign. Not sure if these letters are being sent to everyone or just individuals they think support Trump.
You guys need to be on the Greg Gutfeld show!! Haha

to call the rules a they, and say the rules want to exclude yang is a bit too anthropomorphic, but in my previous posts the they could be just that, but I'd rather consider the want resides with the rule enforcers, who represent the dnc

I don't deny his polls don't adhere to the rules, nothing I said was at odds with that

but they (the dnc or the rule enforcers, take your pick), at present, want to exclude yang, what don't you get?
Ok well, I didn't chastise you. It sounds like you want someone to chastise me just because I said I liked Andrew's
idea. It amazes me when some says something positive from one side to the other that such negativity comes back.

Everybody knows in America we have to have safety nets. We just disagree on how they can be supported. I support community based programs but I am realistic too and understand that's not enough. It's just a fact. And I'm interested in folks who have ideas on this. Just because it's a government program doesn't mean that it should be discounted. Jeeze.

Hmmmmmm, well this is how I think it's going to go. The Dem party is going too far left. The Dem moderates are not going for it. They won't vote for Trump --- they will just stay home. Which would be a win for Trump.
