Amazing that you have to so inform one who calls himself a "lawyer"!

That concept is covered in 1st year "Criminal Law" in a regular law school, but I am not sure about Cracker Jack Box school.

Ex-Officer Lane is primarily responsible for Floyd's death. Originally Posted by LexusLover

Officer Chauvin is now charged in Minneapolis with 2nd degree murder.

This board was the first I'd heard they worked at the same place and/or otherwise might know each other. But ...

... that heightens my interest in how the situation evolved from Floyd sitting on the sidewalk leaning back against the building wall after being handcuffed by a tall lean Black officer who had assisted him in sitting down and getting back up to walk out to the vehicle ....... to lying on the street pinned down with a White officer's knee into the neck smirking while Floyd complained he couldn't breathe.

And now it's rumored they may have known each other, because they worked at same spot in similar roles? Originally Posted by LexusLover

One would think a so-called "attorney" would know statute. Originally Posted by oeb11

But like train engineers .....

#1 would be tough on the "premeditation" .... but the "intent" can be proven with a circumstantial instruction, which is almost automatic and probably error if omitted in Minnesota. The other officers apparently commented about Floyd's condition before he died while Floyd was still putting pressure on him .... and that might be enough implied "intent" to get over that hurdle.

I think the Lane and the other officer holding his legs had body cams on and running and their view of Floyd and audio would be better than the one shown on newscasts.

HR ... my statement that Lane is responsible for Floyd's death is based on his responsibility as the arresting officer to assure Floyd's safe transport to the holding/jail facility to which he would be taken from that scene location ... irrespective of the circumstances in which his prisoner is injured .... Floyd was in his possession and under his care until Floyd died.

The statute doesn't require a "time line" or "time period" for the decision to kill Floyd to be made. Also, at this point you have no way of KNOWING what was ACTUALLY on the cop's mind when he arrived at the scene.

It's a tad early to be making bold predictions.

I suppose there is a video with audio with her lips moving in sync to what was reported. Oh, wait! She's got a mask on.

I can't imagine why I might be skeptical of the owner of a counterfeit money laundering business when speaking of her employees after one killed the other one who tried to pass one of the fake bills .... bit I'm not seeking reports to support my theory and wishful thinking.
