Joined aspd briefly at the end of 2005 as Nikka (in honor of Nikka Costa, fave singer) but wasn't actively pursuing biz until April 2006. Changed my handle in April 2006 to KatnAustin. Upon seeking verified provider status in July '06, that put me on Dagwood's Hitlist for several lengthy email exchanges which were finally kicked out and my membership push through by my then mentor, Kosher Cowboy. By August 2006, I had 3-4 reviews per week and when the lights went out, almost 200 "yes" recommendations and 2000 posts. I know I popped many hobby cherries, too.

Good times!!! ;-) Originally Posted by Kit-4-Kat

I lurked on aspd for a while before I signed up and started posting and doing reviews. That was about 7 years ago and was there til the end. Was rather sad to see it go but now I prefer this site more than I did aspd. Same handle then as now.
Ahhh yes the ASPD DAYS where it all started for me in 2007 the good ol days

Was on ASPD under the same handle back in the days of Porthos and Scratch Golfer. Was a lot more active them with reviews, mainly lurk and learn now.
The year was 2005 for me.

I probably signed into ASPD in 1999 or 2000 - first hobby experience was with the "mother hen" Amber with her mom in the next room seeing another customer.

Good times

Pretty sure she designed my company's first website too!

Lurked for a while and then joined in 2000. 1st post was a review of Samantha Sterlyng. Loved ASPD.

I was there when Dagwood was a Mod and he was a real prick. He thought highly of himself and his "power". Originally Posted by Who's Your Daddy

I lurked when it was an Alt Bulletin Board in 1999, then I followed over to ASPD in 1999. Saw my first Provider off of there in Jan 2001. Finally 'joined' ASPD in 2003 as full member.

Even not having BCD I seldom to never had any issues with Providers. So that is why I let my BCD go here in Eccie.. hell most of what is written is bull shit anyway!!
I was on ASPD from 2003 under same handle, anyone remember Shanna or TanerATX?
I was on ASPD in 1999 under this same name. I definitely remember Shanna....saw her many times over the years.

gonna show my age since I was one of those netnews people way back in the late 80s/90s when it was called alt.sex.prostitution.discussio n. Think I registered in 2000 on ASPD and was asked to mod Chicago and Vegas til it died. Just keeping up with Austin threads now feels like a job.

ASPD. In the early days, I started lurking in 1999, it was kind of a cool exclusive little club. The two most popular providers, before John kind of took over the place with Amazing, were Tiffani and Shanna.

I remember seeing both. Shanna was upscale before anyone here really targeted that market. I remember seeing Tiffani before she totally had it all figured out. She was always one of my favorites, incredibly sexy and reliable. I had to wait in line to see Ava but she was as stunning as a girl can be without being tall.

Most of the mods were very cool and easy to deal with. Dagwood was reviled for sure but I never had any problems with him. He's dead by the way. I had more run-ins with ck although we coexisted for the most part.

The best thing about ASPD was the organic nature of the conversations and the wide level of participation. Strippers would pop in. Curious dudes who didn't hobby (yet). Now it's more cynical, opportunistic and nasty.
