Growing up with a mixed family my dad mom was white and my mom creole it was seven of us three dark skin and the rest light skin one of my sis can pass for white with her blue eyes , but the point I am making a lot of my friends will tell me I would pass over five dark skin beautiful ladies to get to one light skin , do that make me a racists ????

Hobby over the years no Caucasian gentleman has ever said to me that
They would refuse to visit with me if they knew I visited
With a gentleman of another race, or a black man for that matter.

I don't feel it is appropriate to discuss gentlemen's preferences with other hobbiest either.

So who are the ladies that are telling you this? How well established are they?

I feel as though I have been around long enough to have encountered this behavior from gentlemen if it were commonplace.

Are you sure that these ladies are not self projecting this attitude onto their clients? It is quite possible that these are the personal feelings of these ladies and they are using clients/potential clients as a scapegoat to justify their NBA policy. That way they themselves don't seem like bigots.

These ladies you are speaking with, do see black gentlemen and ask for no review, so that the white gentlemen don't know about it? That's lunacy.

Also, what is the race of the ladies saying this? Are they a majority white?

The black ladies that have an NBA policy blows my mind. I know you guys say that it's usually because a pimp/boyfriend is involved. Also, could it be because they think it will get more biz from white gentlemen? Also lunacy. Nothing about that line of reasoning is even logical. If you are a black woman, and a white gentleman is visiting with you, then obviously he is not racist. And I'm sure that he does not assume that you, as a black woman, has never once been intimate with a black man.

There has been atleast 2 very well established and popular providers who told me this and 2 very popular VP who were on the younger side tell me this, so its not a myth.

It's very logical that you may not have experienced this April because you may not and do not come off as someone who can be controlled and manipulated.

I like seeing ladies of all races shapes and sizes. In regards to race though......there have been many times when I tried to see a white provider.........she sometimes by passed my most current black references just to call or contact an older white female ref I had to verify me. So occasionally.....I gotta see one token "whitebread Jenny from the country type" to be able to get past a few ladys screening. I get more difficulty and unnecessary questions from the white ones......but its cool. In certain areas its expected.

Some of those white ladys justified it as...."well you had too many black references, so I thought you might be a pimp or friends with those ladies because they were black." WTF lol

But to some degree all ladies are selective and discriminate to some degree. Even ladies over 45 who I have seen and BBWS always check to see if other ladies I saw matched their body type. Or would always ask me if I have seen other ladies similar to them.

April, these are very solid points. We have a Black lady here in Colorado who has an NBA policy because Denver is a small Black populated area and she's afraid she will run into people she knows, or friends of friends. I too think it's crazy, but "her playground, her rules!"

To the OP, the main reason ladies say this is marketing. The perception is they will see more Caucasian clients if they have an NBA policy in place. What I personally find hilarious about it is Caucasians males make up most of hobbyist around the country. Let's say Caucasian gents make up 40% of all hobbyist. If a provider chooses to pray upon some fears of losing this market, what will that market drop to?
