Reagan isn't exactly freedom baby if we are concerned about long-term economic freedom which is truly what we mean by freedom in the USA. Clinton had to rearrange the supply side economics or deficit-spending of Reaganomics so it would "trickle down" to a real surplus rather than put us in further debt. Reagan was more concerned with the freedom of citizens of other nations than the freedom of his own countrymen.
