just got back and it was fucking packed; not sure where you went and saw, but the car and foot traffic was insane.

Saw plenty potential talent there if they wanted to, but I didn't approach any. My professional career is not worth risking if there are any undercover there fishing.
Yesterday, parking was easy even mid day.

Foot traffic was light....booth help were square dancing with themselves.

At 2, a committee member gave me the head count and it was way off track. I won't say how far off but way off.

Sometimes locals start feeling like they are missing something and head there all at the same time.

Yes there is always talent.
Very low turnout compared to the past few years. (Of course)
But naturally, the same main people come in.

It's just that all the extras got left in the office.

I'm thinking Eddy V's tonight.
As far as extracurricular recreation is concerned, I can definitely tell the difference between this year and previous years of the conference. I'm usually pre-booked 3 out of 4 nights for outcalls, but so far, just one afternoon incall appointment scheduled with an OTC gentleman who is being super careful and not having me visit his hotel, and a couple of "maybes" later in the week.

Sad chihuahua face.
This hound thincks chances are high for those chihuahuas to be even sadder. The maybes are a no go.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday) is the last night.

But I think you're right. I kind of expected it. 'Tis okay. There will be more Milkbones for them, more boners for me elsewhere.

Offshore Technology Conference | 4-7 May | Houston | NRG Park
The last show is on Thursday and depending on the visitors their stay might be Thursday night or extend all the way into Sunday Morning. They can attend whatever the fuck party in that time frame. Could have already partied Tuesday night and leave on Wednesday too. Does that really change anything?

When I traveled I started off getting expensing the weekends, but then had to cover any days stayed after set meeting schedule. So yea, these parties are relative to the individual or the group and their departure day/time.

So let's recap: short answer is Wednesday night is the last night that an Irish chihuahua stands a chance to get boned.

Long Answer: Thursday is student day in the exhibition and the only reason to attend is to check out the college girls.

Attendance was expected to be so low this year that Thursday is free entry....no pass required.

Papers will be presented all day Thursday even though the exhibition closes early. There are several good papers late Thursday.

Trivia: there is an all day event on Friday this year called d5. One has to pay to attend. I'm thinking that will turn out to be a loser financially. There is no money this year.

I doubt the attempt at making Friday (d5) big will generate any parties Thursday night....as most attendees left Thursday morning....to leave the worn out exhibitors on duty to collect resumes from college students.
All this chihuahua talk is making me sad missing my latest.
At least we don't have to put up with hundreds and hundreds of field personnel, on their 8th beer of the morning, stopping in the booth with their SO asking if you have any cool stuff to give away.
That's the only benefit to $50 oil.

On second thought, give me $100 oil again and I'll have kegs set up for every-single-one of them.
