Well, as I've mentioned before, I'm planning my Swan Song.

And although I'm involved with sex worker rights (join Dallas SWOP! Guys, too!), it's a never ending battle. Doubt anything will be won.

I actually appreciate topics such as this one. Because when it all comes down to it, MOST men (people, world) consider us pond scum, at best. And plenty would think that's an insult to the slime on the water.

So there we have it.

However, I'll keep trying to elevate our female huddled masses who most are honorable, and just trying to eek out a living to support family, etc. I know there is a huge dark side to this ... but right now, this morning, there is a more Pollyanna'ish feeling going on with me.

Hope your holidays were happy, you round heeled woman, you!!! Strumpet! Trollop! All these damn sporting ladies!!!

Warmly,
Elisabeth

I'm feeling my Dr Suess today. Lmao!!

Elisabeth you're the sweetest and classiest lady around. Every lady on this board should be thankful for what you do in the background to help us earn a living and support our families. You're a top notch person. Thank you for all you do.

I know civilian women that call each other "hooker". So I guess it depends on context. But make no mistake, "Hooker" is NOT meant to be complimentary. True, it describes what some women are, but so does the "N'" word.

My question is, why would you need to or want to call a provider that anyway? Just call them by their "Professional" name. Originally Posted by albundy

I don't think the naming has anything to to with being PC. It has more to do with the times, and that it takes more skill nowadays to do any job.

Just think:
-The "transportation", or "trucking" business is now called "logistics" - Why? the business is way more complicated than it used to be.

-UPS delivery guys are not even called truck drivers, they are now called "Logistic associates" - why? he needs to use a lot of tech to get his job done.

-"Secretaries" are now "administrative assistants" - why? they need to know MS office and be very familiar with technology.

I could go on forever.

In the past, all prostitutes need to be were pretty, clean and good BCD. They would go to a brothel, or a street corner and that's it. Nowadays, they have to run it as a business, know how to use a computer, cameras, software, place ads, write them well, use a calendar, be organized, give references, have a decent incall, with music drinks...etc. Ah, and they also have to be pretty, clean and good BCD, but that is not the only requirement. On top of it, here in the US they have to take a lot of risks.

So no, I disagree. Providers are not whores. Whores you find in a street corner or a brothel. The girls on this site (well , the majority, a few are not) are providers, escorts and courtesans.

You guys that prefer to put women down keep calling them bitches and whores. Your choice. I made mine.

I guess we're all whores! Seems like people have a bad case of Raven Simone-ism.

There IS a differentiation.

I rather not use the lowest common denominator, because I like quality.

Edit: My point being, I don't care what people call me (I cannot control that). But I care (and I control) what I call (and how do I view them) the girls I see. I call them escorts. But I think of them as marriage saviors. Some guys view them as cum buckets, that's their prerogative, principally if it makes them feel more manly. Fortunately, I don't need to put women down to feel more manly.
One mans whore is another mans escort. It doesn't matter what word you use, it's more about the way that you use it. But the words only matter to you if you let them. As far as it being derogatory it's about my intention and your receipt. And for it to be "effective" you have to accept it as derogatory as well.

Sticks and stones can break my bones, but names can never hurt me..... unless I allow them to....
