The cost of gas is not going to return to the "good old days" for the simple reason that state & local sales tax, state excise tax, federal excise tax and most importantly prevailing wages are significantly higher now...unless you wanna go back to paying gas station attendants 3.75/hr and truck drivers 6.50/hr and the chemical engineers & other technicians at the refineries 35k a year. I hate to break it to you but HS chemistry experiments rarely scale up to viable production models, case in point. Step away from the kool-aid if you want to have a real debate, but if you're gonna try to rationalize like a conspiracy theorist, blamestorm, and sling insults I'm not gonna waste time on you. FACT: BIG OIL has had MORE energy disasters than Nuke power, be they Oil tankers sinking/running aground, Oil spills all over the world like Alaska from pipelines failing, etc., Oil Rigs Blowing UP...ferget bouts BP fuckup in the Gulf, BIGTIME, did ya, Oil refineries Blowing up in the States, oh and Hugo Chavez's oil refinery in Venezuela..... that just may have been 'torched' by our CIA.....LOL!!! This LIST of BIG OIL FUCKUPS is farking Endless compared to Atomic power generation!!!
Couple that with FUCKING Republican Deregulation that now allows these FUCKING BIG OIL Crooks to raise pump prices at will EVERY TIME one of these farkups Occur!
Right now Oil trades at ~31 dollars/BBL. Last time it was that low we were paying 70 cents to a buck fer a gallon of gasoline! WTF we pay still over 2 bucks a gallon!!!! WHY???
