I agree with Johnson that we should leave the ME alone, but it may be too late for that. And I have never agreed with him on the border. If we had never gotten involved in Iraq there would have been no ISIS. We created this mess, I guess we're going to have to clean it up. But overall, Johnson is the best choice. Trump is gaining in my estimation, however.

As for the other thing, Trump predicted that there would likely be violence in Chicago based on all the media and Internet traffic. Morons in the media immediately jumped out there saying that Trump was threatening the violence.

Trump has been encouraging violence, even saying he would pay the legal fees of people who attack protesters (of course, he later lied and said "I never said I was going to pay for fees"), so I have a hard time blaming anyone who might have mistakenly interpreted whatever comments you are talking about to mean he was encouraging violence.

Since Trump is not president, he can't comfort anyone except those in his immediate circle which would include his daughter-in-law who got a powder laden envelope the other day.

You live in a fantasy land if you don't believe the words of a person can comfort people outside of their "immediate circle" unless they are the president. Especially when they have as much attention as Trump does right now.
