Damn Kerwil yes again you remind me The Chronic is definitely in there. I swear i was the video for "Little Ghetto Boy" the weekend and had to download it again. Off topic here but does anyone know of any music stores anymore? The Soundwaves on Main and the one on Westheimer used to be great to just check out music. I have to download or go to Best Buy and its just not the same

...damn, that's a tall order! Gotta set aside "Best Ofs..." in favor of albums/CDs as the artist intended them to be experienced....

In that regard, gonna take it all funk/R&B. Ask me about rock classic or alternative...get a different answer!

The OPs boys make it in with their debut...lol..at least I think it was their debut. The album that had "Pick Up the Pieces" (which was one of two songs, along with Van Morrison's, "Domino" that made me want to learn an instrument), "Keeping It To Myself", and "I Just Can't Give You Up" on it.

So, at least as I see it, it's...in no particular order...

1. Average White Band, "AWB"
2. Brother Marvin gets two, "What's Going On?"
3. Marvin Gaye, "Let's Get It On!"
4. Todd Rundgren, "Nearly Human"
5. Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers, "This Is A Journey...Into Time..."

If you're looking for older music, sometimes it's good to check out Half-Price Books & Records. About 7 or 8 locations around town.

Best Buy never had a great selection IMO. I wished Circuit City was still open. They had a much better, much bigger, and oftentimes cheaper selection of music.

If you're ever in Austin, check out Waterloo Records, Cheapo Discs and Musicmania.

Did Somebody say Bootsy? Its gettin Funky up in here! Im lovin this thread, its bringing back some Damn Good music. I need to get out the old Album Collection and listen to that old wax pop. Talking about Record stores, I like to drop by Hastings because they have used CDs/Albums that you can pick up Cheap. Some people sell off their old stuff and you can get good deals on some good old school stuff.
