Showing the face, does it matter?
Meg,
I'm curious to know since you asked this at the start of the year when ECCIE was undergoing a lot of growth what the reasons for your decision to not show your face since you had in the past?
I see your avatar now has a blurred face but upside down.
Also, given the recent threads by Max concerning the recent script additions to try and stop those who have been harvesting images for sites the ladies have no control over, does that affect a decision to post a face photo knowing that even if you retire, or change your handle for security reason, years later it could still be on a site with no recourse to have them removed?
Would that make a difference if you plan to post face photos?
Megs face is upside down and if you go to the showcase and view it you will see it is still blurred so she hasn't changed her opinion on this matter.
I respect the ladies' privacy, however facial looks are equally important as body appearance to me.
No pics = gotta pass.

I, too, will not see a provider without knowing what she looks like. If she chooses not to post face pics in her showcase, I can fully understand, just as long as she is willing to provide them via pm. That being said, I am perfectly willing to reciprocate should a provider wish to use similar screening criteria.

After all, she started the thread and I'm certain her opinion will be of value to other providers contemplating the use of face photos.
I chose to not show my face because I am trying to cross back over into the real world and I don't want it to come back and bite me in the ass. I used to show my face, but you are talking 9 years ago. I stopped showing my face when my college professor pulled me aside and confronted me about it. I never looked back. lol
I contemplated showing it once again thinking maybe some guys overlooked me because I didn't. But I have been around long enough and have enough reviews that any guy can figure out I'm not a troll. If they don't like what they see when they arrive, they are free to leave. I don't have a butter face. But I'm not willing to risk my future because of my past.
Make sense?
I also will not send a pic via email or otherwise. Why? Too many people can get hold of it who should not have it. Or the receiver may have an ax to grind at a later date. It's all about "my" protection.
Meg
p.s. my face is upside down because I'm hanging off the side of the bed lol
I have known Meg personallyfor quite a while and trust me when I say that the reason she does not show her face is for purely discretionary reasons. She is a classic beauty by anyone's standards. I cannot believe that anyone would be disappointed when Meg opens the door. Anyone with a life outside of the hobby understands and has reason to not show thier face. I doubt that many hobbiest would post thier picture on the web. The hobby is not a career. The internet is forever and anything you post here can follow you forever. I do not rule anyone out based on whether they show thier face or not. I completely understand her discretion
Once you post a picture on the internet
that shit stays there FOREVER!!!!!
I wonder why any woman would show her face pics online in this hobby. I know it helps business for guys to be able to see you but you can't do this forever. Why take the huge risk of being found out when you transition to the next phase in your life? Your pics will still be on the net long after you leave this hobby, and that will only potentially harm you. Obviously, it sure the fuck can't help you after you leave.
To all the ladies who hide their faces, I think that's great forward thinking on your part. Protect yourself for the future and don't just think about the present.
I realize my opinion will be very unpopular from the guys but for the providers on here, I think keeping your identity a secret is much more important in the overall grand scheme of things.
Joe,
The saddest part is that the pimps like Mr. DC convince the girls that they will never regret having face photos posted in ads. They put everything out there and don't think long term because of the situation that led them to hook up and depend on a manipulative pimp on the first place.
If you're an escort who shows her face, as long as you never have nude photos you can always fall back on they were stolen when they tried to model and at least have plausible deniability.
I've seen more ladies without face photos than with and have never been disappointed.

If I had to choose between bikini shots or totally nude with a blurred face, I'd take the former in most any case.

Ive showed my face before when I was soley doing this and it worked for me. I had no concerns for privacy because like you HotLips my family knew and I dont have too many friends so I didnt care. But over the course of time things changed as they do, I got a new job and started pursuing other interest in my life where I couldnt be known as this "sexy escort". Anyone could recongize me and Id be so embarrased for one and then tons of drama, yada yada you know...
This really hit home for me when I was getting an oil change and the guy in charge goes I know you... And he goes to tell me how he knew me and from where, which totally freaked me out!! Hehe.. I get free oil changes for life now but as a result of that and all thats going on in my life I took my face off. I cant have this ruining my life in areas not needed to. It can be rather embarrasing or beneficial for you maybe but Id rather not test it. Those who have a eye in the public view understand that there safety and security shouldnt be compromised by something such as this and I think can respect the decision of me not showing my face. And its not impossible to get a face pic, after screening I dont mind sending you one. I hate that this can be a deal breaker for a lot of guys cause they ont know what they could be missing, but I appreciate the ones who understand my concerns too.
Nice!
Please do not bump threads that are 30 days past the last post. The one before you was August.
It matters to me. Part of the problem is that it's one thing most guys absolutely cannot describe in a review, and many don't even try.
