Like many of you I tried Rudy's but left there wondering what all the fuss was about? ..... I guess everybody has their favorites ..... and by all means try them all at least once ..... but the best I can say about Rudy's is they make a good BBQ sauce ..... and the best item on their menu is the cream corn .....

Not a fan of Rudy's, like Bill Miller they use a central facility for cooking and truck the 'Q to each location.

I like the Rusty Bucket, good food made on site.

For BBQ, you cannot go wrong with the Big Bibb on Austin Highway.

I love BBQ, eat it whenever I can. In San Antonio, my favorites are Big Bibb, Two Brothers and the Smokehouse on Roland.

In New Braunfels CBQ and Granzin are also good, also Cooper's. In San Marcos Hays County BBQ is good as well.

IMHO...our town does not have a truly standout BBQ joint like a Franklin's ,Snows or Blacks etc...but we do have some decent ribs at Smoke shack, brisket at Garcia's,sausage from BBQ station and sauce from Rudy's.
