If somebody told me the Cowboys would be 11-2 after Romo went down in that preseason game against Seattle, I would have laughed at you. The defense looked good last night. That's a plus. Dallas won't be scoring just 7 points a game on a regular basis. It was just one of those games. Division games are tough to call. Look at the Rams. They suck and for some reason they beat Seattle all of the time.

I am still trying to figure out the Rams-Seattle thing. Boy did they suck yesterday or what? We did as well, but it had to end at some point. Better now than in the playoffs. We may have needed that game to get refocused.

True dat. Divisional games are hard to win...especially on the road (more on that in a sec).

The Giants defense was totally keyed in last night. Simply put, the Cowboys offense did not capitalize on the early forced turnovers (Eli's two fumbles...then an interception late in the game).

Aside from Bailey's FG attempt clanging off the crossbar right before the half, Dallas should have been up two-maybe three scores going into the second half. You had to feel that a 7-0 lead wasn't going to stand up no matter how well the Dallas D was playing. Kuddos to Sean Lee...terrific game.

For the record, all four teams in the NFC East are exceptionally tough at home this season. At this writing, the division has a league-best 19-6 cumulative win/loss record at home....no other division in the NFL is remotely close.

Going into last night's game I thought we'd need to play the kinda game we did at Pittsburgh to come out with a win (I thought both offenses would be at full tilt). No matter....time to regroup for a tough (and hungry) Tampa Bay Bucs team this coming Sunday....no rest for the wicked as they say.

A QB with over a 100 quarterback rating and a runningback averaging better than 100 yards per game, both rookies. They sit atop the NFC east. Looks like excellence for years to come. What could possibly stop them.

Also a friendly reminder that the 2007 Cowboys were 12-1, lost 2 of their last 3 and were beaten in the divisional round of the playoffs by the eventual Superbowl champion New York Giants!
