FAKE NEWS

Fake news has been fucking amazing for me. I got on the train a little late but I've been making decent hobby money by telling Trump people whatever they want to hear for the last few months. They never fact check anything. Originally Posted by Pitfall

I also got off of FB 9 months ago because I was tired of people circulating fake news as if it were real. The articles came from both conservatives and liberals. Keep in mind, this was months before the media began complaining about fake news and how it "cost" Hillary the election. I know, it's hard to believe anyone could vote for Trump without fake news driving their every action.
The key to this independent thought is to question things that don't make sense. I do research and draw my own conclusions. Sometimes I don't like what I find. I think that's what separates me from most liberals. If the story isn't in line with liberal idealogy, it is discarded and often branded as hate speech. Those who disagree are called names like racist or sexist.

Here is an example of an idea that most liberals refuse to accept:
Hillary lost because she was a horrible candidate.

It's really that simple. The evidence is there, if you dare to research it. I don't think you will. But, the information is out if you decide you want to "fact check anything". It is far easier to discount it and blame racism, sexism, the Russians, fake news, wikileaks, and whitey. Yes, the truth is far too painful.

So in all seriousness, what's next? If nothing else, this election exposed to everyone (well almost everyone) that the media is biased and dishonest. So what have they done as a result - doubled down and continued with their bias and lies. How do we fix this, and how do we wake up the rest of America and make them realize that they are being brainwashed, and our children are being indoctrinated by our schools and colleges.

Hopefully this election was a good start, but time will tell.

I didn't say all Trump people are gullible. Just enough that it's possible to make money off of them.

I've seen plenty of liberals talking about how awful a candidate Hillary was. Don't forget that this was the argument of the Bernie wing. There will always be Hillary apologists and they will always be annoying.

My point is only that the belief within the Trump group that all regular media is lies and that they can only trust that which is posted by their friends is a boon for those willing to compromise morally and take advantage of it.

Yes, liberals will buy into some of it, but it's not nearly as easy to write a fake article for them. They're a bunch of fucking know-it-alls and they are way more likely to check sources since they love to be the ones to prove you wrong. There's just not the same tribal cohesion with that group. I'm not saying they're smarter, I'm just saying their particular culture isn't as ripe for disinformation as the Trump group.

We're 6 weeks after the election and you can still make shit up about Hillary and get it shared. She should be completely irrelevant at this point but hating her is so ingrained in conservative culture that people still want to read about her.

My most successful article so far is a bastardization of campaign spending data that make it look like she seriously misallocated funds. I released it last week, more than a month after this particular dead horse had been beat to a pulp by the pundits, but this was a slightly new spin and Trump people still ate it up.

Tribalism is damaging to democracy but it's great for profit if you lack moral conviction. Religious thinking has fully spilled into politics; it's the next age of televangelism.

Dunno why Gruber would be laughing, but it doesn't affect me in any way.

The more people believe that the MSM is a conspiracy and that real truth can only be found on sites like mine, the better my little side business does. I have 0 interest in changing anyone's mind about fake news.

Laugh all you want, fellas. Just keep those page views coming.
Media lying and producing fake news depends a lot on if they are telling you what you want to hear.

Want to know what Trump's most gullible supporters are thinking right now? Spend 5 minutes at https://reddit.com/r/The_Donald and it will be abundantly clear. There are usually 3 or 4 narratives running, all you gotta do is pick one that looks like it could use some "facts" and jump in.

"She should be completely irrelevant at this point but hating her is so ingrained in conservative culture that people still want to read about her."

"Hate" is a diluted word from its overuse .. and lax application.

I know a lot of folks who would not vote for her, think she is disgusting, and believe she is a crook, who can't find her ass with both hands even though it is huge! The do not express "hate" for her.

The bottom line is she wouldn't be anything more than an assembly line paper pusher in a mediocre law firm if her name were not "Clinton." She married to get ahead.

And she remained with Bill to have a shot at "the Ring"! She's taken her shot!

My ignorance is the case in what point?

I'm not defending Clinton in any way. She's a terrible candidate and she seems like a piece of shit human.

All I'm saying is people love to talk about her. It's not necessary for anyone to ask what people want to hear because they make it clear on their own.

All I did was mention that people still hate her and LexusLover wrote us a fucking essay.
