How long would you wait in line for In-n-Out
Hey L4L,
You are right, it is better than McDonalds but not better than most gourmet burger type joints. The funny point is the price point suggests that they are going after the fast food joints, not as much going after the gourmet joints.
I will take a twisted root burger anytime over In n Out but I am also paying twice as much.
The reason they beat McDonalds, Whataburger, etc. is the simplicity and freshness. The fries aren't loaded down with seasonings nor are the burgers. Just simple and fresh.
I don't eat at McDonalds, et all but I will have the occasional In n Out. When they build one closer to my house I will likely go more than every six months but I just don't eat fast food often anyways.
And Durango, dude, you really need to learn to interact better on here if you believe what you said wouldn't be taken as being condecending and insulting. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that wasn't your intention but just because you are behind the keyboard doesn't mean you should not engage your brain before you type. We all forget our online filter on occasion.
I ate at Jake's Burgers in uptown Dallas, it was good not great. So anyone says Jake's is the best or great obviously does not get out much.

BOLTFAN are you my third grade teacher or something? Barking at me like some little junk yard dog? I posted a comment, leave it alone ok.
I retract my previous statement.
I have seen from the mods that calling you a douchebag would get me points so I will refrain from calling you a douchebag.
So instead, I will just tell you to lighten up. You'll have fucking heart attack from taking everything so goddamn serious here. That or eating too much In n Out.
Just ate at a place on Ave. K called The Paddy Shack. Probably as good as I have had in Texas. Five Guys is as good as IN & OUT, none of the above as good as my home state. Love chili on mine and nobody knows how to make it once you leave the southeast.
I was on a mission today to try the In and Out experience. I arrived at the starting point in Allen at 2:30pm. There were two police officers, two lines, and two order takers. The lines of at least 50 cars merged and wound around. There were two order callers to the booth. Then a beautiful young lady handed me my bag. The wait was exactly 18 minutes.
The people were extra friendly and neatly dressed. My double cheeseburger, fries, and extra large sweet tea was $7.09...a very good value. The fries were good and natural tasting but needed salt. I like McDonald's and Wendy's fries better. The burger was very good...almost as good as 5 Brothers. The difference was that the same order is $10 at 5 brothers. I would go back to In and Out before 5 Brothers.
Nice report.
Mmmm, Chili.....
McDonald's Corp has the fastest drive thru times according to the information supplied by restaurant news. The average drive thru time for McDonald's is 2.5 minutes. Now based on that information the In N Out with lets just say 25 cars with an average drive thru time of say 3 minutes would mean an actual wait time of 1 hour and 15 minutes. I think CookieMan was stretching the truth just a bit.

and Juan you have almost 1,200 posts so you obviously know about spending time and replying to a lot of threads. As I said in the absence of light, darkness prevails.
I hope you all enjoy what ever hamburger chain you prefer. Hamburgers, BBQ, pizza are all very personal food selections and like ass holes, we all have our own taste in food too.
