Middle aged men have 'hotness delusion syndrome'

Well there's a trip down memory lane. We had a Studebakers here too. Did the wait staff jump on the bar and dance? Originally Posted by Ansley

Can't find clubs like that here in Houston anymore.. sigh.

Don't hang up your dancing shoes yet. In Atlanta there is a club called Johnny's Hideaway, that has been packing them in seven days a week for 32 years. I would imagine the average age is 50. Even the mature crowd still likes to go out dancing every now and then. Originally Posted by Ansley

The spokesman bore an uncanny resemblance to the who used to do the Maury's wigs commercials WAY back in the day....

Correction I like dancing sometimes at bar/club where people my own age go out to dance
Hell I love a good 1980's night or even a sinatra/swing dance night

*What I dont like is when people 40+ of age try to hang out in a 20's night club. I dont want to do that, and my guy friend who is 43 shouldnt do it, but he still thinks he is hot and wants to grind to Usher LOL its just wrong!

SR ONLY- A guy doesnt have to be Clooney to dance with me- I like em all. I used to teach ballroom dancing so if a guy is a strong lead Im in! btw my s.o. is 25 yrs older then me (and yes he is my fathers age lol)

The charm of the older gentleman is not to pretend that he is younger. Clubbing with the 20somethings is not dignified for a 40something. Older gentlemen have their own charms, which I believe many of the ladies have acknowledged. I know that I don't feel the need to compete head-to-head with the 20somethings.

I can afford to take a lady out to a fine restaurant, order the correct meal and wine, have sophisticated conversation, buy her nice gifts, and generally have the financial and emotional depth to make her feel like the most special and beautiful lady in the world. Maybe we can go see a concert. Maybe we can travel someplace exotic and interesting. Maybe we can stay in and cuddle next to the fire on a rainy afternoon. As I have matured, I don't have to be so aggressive. I have the gravitas and confidence to know that I can get what I want.

And Ansley and Valerie, those new avatars are ravishing, and I'm not even a breast man. I may have to reconsider.

The new one shows a pretty darn cute view. Should we make a poll?
