Here is how it could go,

Young girl leaves home with her boyfriend. They need money and he says why not do a few dates on CL or whatever site? She says ok and does sex dates. Six months later she's back home with mom and dad and she tells them she had sex with old geezer down the street for cash. Mom and dad are shocked beyond belief and say "did you want to have sex with those old men"? She says nooooo. My boyfriend put me on CL and I was trafficked and not sure who the baby's daddy is! Boy friend or the geezer. Dang the shit I bought with money... Parents sue CL for a million and win. Guess what? Then every other hooker on CL comes forward and says she was trafficked and wants to sue.

But that's not really how it will work. CL has to know that the girl is being trafficked and be ok with it. That's how the million payout works. So basically no one will win any of these cases unless someone informed CL there was trafficking going on and they let it keep going.

But not understanding the law is not going to stop mom and dad from hiring some sleazy lawyer and suing CL. Then CL has to hire a lawyer to blow the case away. Craigslist has a site that is a pain in the ass to manage because of all the spam bullshit on there.

They see this coming up and remember, it hasn't been signed yet and doesn't go in to effect till 2019.

Craigslist says fuck it and shuts it down.

Then they charge for gigs and make more money reducing the spam they get.

You seem like such a nice man but this is a terribly naïve view of the way the world works.

Powerful people do not care what little peons think or what their experiences may be.

I can recall being lectured by prostitutes with respect to what motivates people who have not made utter train wrecks of their lives and thought to myself that this must be how genuinely stupid people think, or how people whose experiences are profoundly limited think.

My suggestion is that you listen to as many intelligent people as you have access to and maintain an open mind all the while.

The whore world is full of people who have stuck their heads so far down into the sand that they have circumnavigated the globe and against all odds their heads have wound up somehow in their own respective asses.

It's almost like there really is a God, and there really is a devil, except that is too ridiculous to actually contemplate.
