Anytime someone has that amount of negativity and fanatical hatred toward a politician, etc, they are usually venting some kind of displaced anger from deeper, more personal issues in their life.
For whatever reason, he has chosen politics as his way to vent. The anger and hatred is both self-destructive and off-putting to others.
It only tunes people out to whatever point you may be trying to make.
