I suspect that having her car & $1600 stolen and her apartment trashed is considerably less funny to Chelsea than it seems to be to some of the posters here.

I don't have any first hand knowledge about what happened, but why would Chelsea, a provider with more than 100 positive reviews on ECCIE, make up such a story?

Cristy started this thread with an incoherent post that did nothing to further her cause or enlighten others about her side of the story. We can speculate all we want (and apparently will), but Chelsea posted an understandable account of being ripped off (and as far as I can determine, never mentioned Cristy by name, other posters in her thread did that).

You can believe Chelsea or not, but she had nothing much to gain by posting her story except, as she said, to preempt a posting like Cristy's. Judging from many of the comments here, the preemption didn't work.

I for one...have few abilities.....but one ability that I do have is the ability of "reading" people when being around them. Chelsea is someone I would trust.....simple as that. Life lessons are hard sometimes. Those of us that grew up trusting people sometimes get burned. Its not a very good feeling. I hope that someone shows some character, steps up and does the right thing. Unfortunately, when it comes to money there will always be people that do not have that character gene. Chelsea, you have a good heart. Maybe someone will surprise you.

And Christy, if Chelsea isn't someone who is important enough to bring up to speed about what happened, who is? And who has her missing money? At this point, as hard as it is to believe, you've come off worse in this thread than you did in Chelsea's original thread. And that's no small task.

I think one thing Christy doesn't get, assuming she is telling the truth, is that even if she didn't do ANY of what happened, she's still responsible. If I lend you my car and you treat it perfectly, but you lend it to someone who blows the engine, you can be damn sure you'll be the one paying for that new engine.

It sure seems from her own statements that Christy knows exactly what happened, while claiming she didn't do it. That gives every indication that whoever is responsible was in the apartment with at least Christy's knowledge, and since she had the keys at the time, possibly her blessing.

As for the "It's none of your business' idea, let me explain why it is. First, many of us know Chelsea either professionally or socially. As a result, we have every right to be upset when she is taken advantage of or ripped off. Second, and this is going on in the minds of the dozens of guys reading this thread but not posting, events like this do an awful lot to convince us not to see a lady. If you have people around you who would do this there is reason to feel we don't want to take the chance of being around you in case these individuals happen to come up with some new ideas for fun.

Mods, staff, someone while I am not the OP or thread starter please for the sake of what little is good in the world close this, better yet complete removal of this and the orignal post might serve the purpose better. The practice of stoneing persons has long been remove from our society, what we have here is as bad or worse. All though it might have been ask for in a sense will not make it right.
I think the OP was trying to make right her actions thru her post and just came up a little short with her choice of words. At any rate thats what I'm going to assume. I will take the blame for all this nonsense, none of this would have happened if not for my own stupidity. I made the choice to leave the money in my apt rather than taking it to the bank. I left my keys , rather that putting them in my purse and takeing them with me. I even gave permisson for the use of my place. So yall give me a hard time for being a stupid young girl. The OP has had enought stones tossed her way. Lets let it go.
