My comparison was an ED and PhD. If you think a PhD in a STEM, health, or even history isn’t difficult you’ve not seen the dedication and work ethic needed to attain one. Even a MS or MA is tough, in some disciplines, to get into the programs. If you want a MS in, for example, SLP you had better have a 3.9 undergrad GPA or forget about being accepted anywhere. I have an MBA from a less-than-stellar college. I found the academics to be rather easy but I know I was not attending Harvard or Stanford. I have no idea how difficult pursuing a PhD would have been. I don't know if courses are more difficult at the PhD level than the MBA level or if you just need more of the courses.

I just laugh when I interview with firms that are impressed by that Ivy League degree. I'm just thinking you are impressed that I watched Law and Order and NYPD Blue reruns on TNT instead of going to class? Cool. I'll take the praise suckers and pay me!

Shit, I got kicked out of college twice because I was too busy chasing skirts to go to class. Not having a piece of paper hasn't hurt my upward mobility at all. Networking, having a good reputation, and taking the job seriously beat all of that.

Its a factory type situation. They need inputs so they can produce outputs. They want a level of input available and to produce the best level out output to enhance their reputations. Failing a certain no. of students also helps their rep.

No inputs, no outputs, then no products. Factory goes out of business. Many of these degrees have little value. I heard too many stories about how little Janie received her Marketing degree with a 3.8 GPA and still can't find a job.

Maybe she's just flashing the goods cause she knows more about Zombiden's health than anyone else and she wants to start shopping.
