I empathize with them enough that I will wear it.”

No. That was too much for some people. Too much of a price to pay. Their freedom was being infringed upon.

And I hope that’s not what it means to be an American. I hope that being an American is partly about respecting your neighbor, and giving a hand when they’re getting their teeth kicked in.

When you walk into a place of business that has signs requesting that anyone unvaccinated should be be masked, you are ignoring that entities request. You are entering private property and willfully ignoring the conditions the owner has specified as a basis for entry.
