Civil War CONFIRMED April 26 2024

Every trump denial is an admission. Every trump accusation is a confession.

He's the king of projection. It's really all he has. Projection, and a cult of abject retards who actually believe the bullshit that spews from his word hole. Originally Posted by tommy156

How many times did MAGAs say 'Biden did X! Hillary did Y! The Dems are trying to Z!', only for weeks or months later (and in some cases, even prior) found out that it was actually 'Trump did X! Mada did Y! The MAGAs are trying to Z!'

It's surreal. I keep asking myself, where's the laugh track? Because it feels like they are part of some kind of sitcom.

Which is critically ironic that the MAGAs were talking about inciting a civil war, failed a coupe, now are trying to start another insurrection again, and there's a fucking movie coming out about it what the honest to fuck?!?
Real sitcom writers would trash the script, though, because it's just too stupid to be believable. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction sometimes.

Oh no, I better say something back on topic before I get more points!
I hope the writers for this Civil War film don't use a laugh track.
Any time they show a Confederate flag in the Civil War movie, canned laughter would be appropriate.

When I see a confederate flag, -I think of the dukes of hazard- and while i'll admit to liking the show, and the car, and the daisy dukes- it never resonated with me that it was anything racist about the flag.

I think that for a lot of people, that wasn't visible till after the past few years, where its undertone / overtones, brought up the ugly part of southern states. Now don't get me wrong, I like lots of stuff about the south- most of it is food or pussy related, but I really think the gaslighting for a current day civil war is highly over-estimated.

Imagine watching some fools locally coming over to shoot at you for how you voted? That would end quite badly for anyone coming to my house- and while it would likely end in beer drinking or some scrapping in the front yard, I respect my neighbors right to vote how they want, and they mine.

Where the fantasy island folks get the "jump the shark" moments seem to have lost most of america is there is NO stomach for 90% of american's for civil violence, but of course, some major event could of course change that. What do yinz think would cause the majority of America to take up arms for a cause to a civil war? I think it would have to be REALLY something significant. And not pulling Trumpy off the the ballot- I don't think that would do it, but perhaps in some radical right Maga-circles, that would surely do it for those folks!???
I do feel that there is a non-zero chance of civil unrest this election year. There was an attempted coupe three years ago, and the MAGAs don't seem to be calming down.
If anything though, it will be similar to what happened in the past. A few coordinated people with a larger, uncoordinated crowd to act as human shields - like J6.

Going so far as to say that the military would participate with wartime equipment, I don't know enough about the inner workings of the politics within our military, but I don't think they'll join in on the wrong side.
Worst case scenario, we have some tragic cell phone footage of an armored vehicle taking down a few dozen 'protestors' after they were warned to back away and stand down.

But I don't think anything short of an invasion of another nation would cause the majority of Americans to take up arms for anything. At the end of the day, most of us are too unhealthy and out of shape to really do anything if the call to arms was sounded.

Even Alyssia Finley (again, see post #31) admits conservatives do it too. But unlike you, she gives concrete specific examples. You fail to do the same. I guess X, Y and Z could be anything.

FOX ran the trailer a few weeks ago, and laughed and made fun of the idea that Texas and California would join forces in seceding. Maybe the producers are trying to appeal to both red/blue states?

The thought of there actually be a real civil war is already unbelievable. Anything more in the details is just trying to find an issue to break the facade of fiction. Look at Harry Potter. It's unrealistic for us to actually believe that there are wizards and magical terrorists, coexisting in our own world. It's also unrealistic to ask the question 'why didn't they just use a gun?' in the story, too. Because it's fiction

Pretty sure if we took a poll, most of us would rather see Barbie or Oppenheimer again than go to watch this flick.

The ultra long format film needs to die. Or theaters should have have intermission at least so they can make more money on their fast food and popcorn
