I do not thin the blocking is at a firewall, but a glitch in vbulletin. I'm not to locate Tinman's post in a Dallas forum that clearing browser cache seems to help avoid the IP banned scenario; makes no sense to me <shrug/> I have not encountered the problem using Firefox incognito browsing.

the host (not the admin) needs to have better ddos protection is what im guessing

as for actually running a forum i ran one that was quite a bit bigger than OH, there is actually quite a bit into it and can turn into a decent full time job if you want it done right..if you dont care... ya it can somewhat work on a plug and play model but not many will stay on a forum like that Originally Posted by belgarath83

It seems there’s an opportunity to potentially create a reliable platform that has all the same features and less restrictions, like OH2. Just need to figure out how to monetize it to make it worthwhile.

Today just now, I am getting "504 Gateway Time-out" error.

I just got back into the swing of things last week. Previous long-time Eccie user and then also made the migration to OH2 when it was first created.

I just started trying to access it again last week. Most of the times it won't even load and I get a timeout or the bad gateway error as well, and sometimes also says "IP address blocked." I was able to access (as a lurker) only once last week using the wireless network on my phone.

I tried emailing their support email listed hoping to get in touch with CK, but have not received any response as of now.

So sad as it was a great resource for both gents and ladies. I hope they can get it back working and also that I eventually get a reply and can get my old account back there!

And OH2 is back up this morn

Looks like OH2 is suffering from chronic ED - typical old age problem.

I see a database error and can't connect to their site.

It’s down yet again.....

Glad I have all yalls favs in doing dirty things to me the past few ones in ultra 4K to keep me occupied while the site is down.
