+1A lot of these motels might still have carpeting, the newer ones won't and the older ones are starting to redo the rooms. Yes its an expense but it makes cleaning the room easier and less chance of someone getting an infection.

Even if they do not steam clean a nice Lysol based mopping will handle that.
When I do Jacuzzi rooms with ladies I get there about 1 hour before and bring in a new bottle of lysol, kitchen gloves, a a new large sponge and a custom made rinsing hose that will slip over any faucet so I can use it to rinse down the tub.
I fill the tub up to above the jets, pour in the entire bottle of lysol, turn on the jets, then wipe down all of the tub. once done, I drain and rinse the tub and start to refill it for the activities that going to happen.
