The vast majority of tourist states are feeling the pinch though. It's not just Canada either, it's Europe and Asia that are going elsewhere. Not a trend that the US can stomach for another year let alone 4 of em. It doesn't need to be so adversarial either as it could have been done with a Congress that administered them and implemented them. It would have taken a little longer, but they would be not facing the legal SCOTUS question and likely not pissed off these other countries. also,- had Dirty Donnie declared it as a financial emergency vs a vengeance plan, it would have been a better move. Even if he said the immediate Tariffs were till Congress officially voted on them.

So many ways it could have gone better and had less animosity from trading partners. Penguins have long memories about being taxed ya know. Canadian's even longer.
