First concert my parents took me to see ZZTop, Eliminator Tour. As far as most memorable would probably Ozzfest 99.

I seen the Cure on the Distegration tour at the Summit in 89 or 90. I had my Patrik Swazye mullet rocking.
Anyone went to the Texas Jam at Rice Stadium? It was Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions, and Van Halen/Hagar. Metallica just got Jason Newstead in the band. The black album wasn't out yet. So they played all there good songs from the first 3 albums. Scorpions stole the show they were in their prime.
Also caught UFO last few times with Vinnie Moore on guitar. It was awesome. Seen Michael Schenker too, cool show!
Any you older folks seen Thin Lizzy? Wish I did! Checked em out on youtube. They kick ass!

My very first real "rock concert" was Humble Pie and Jo Jo Gunne in the Sam Houston Coliseum, and I've been going ever since. Check out http://rockinhouston.com/ for an incredible archive of pix from concerts in Houston (and few elsewhere).

Some of my most memorable were:

Led Zeppelin (Coliseum and Summit)
Black Sabbath (Coliseum, Jeppesen Stadium, Verizon, the Woodlands - as "Heaven & Hell", but c'mon, wither goest Tony goest the Mighty Sabbath - and many points in between)
ZZ Top (too many times to name, including the Summit, Jeppesen Stadium, the Astrodome)
Rolling Stones (in the Astrodome with ZZ Top and the Fabulous Thunderbirds . . . plus at least three other shows in Houston))
Genesis (in the Music Hall, with Peter Gabriel playing the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway in its entirety)
Pink Floyd (Jeppesen Stadium)
Sex Pistols (Randy's Rodeo in SA)
Ramones (Armadillo World Headquarters - twice!)
Night of the Hurricane (in Hoffeinz Pavillion - Dylan, et al)
CSNY (Jeppesen Stadium)
The Clash with Joe Ely (Cullen Auditorium)
Yo La Tengo (Warehouse Live - surprisingly, the loudest show I ever attended)(
Tool with The Melvins (Astro Arena)
Tool (at least six other times)
Incubus (3x at the Woodlands - one of my favorite live bands)
Grateful Dead (25+ times, including AstroWorld, Manor Downs on July 4, Golden Gate Park)
U2 (4x)
Parliament/Funkadelic (the Summit, Halloween 1976)
The Who (first concert in the Summit - plus numerous other occasions)
Paul McCartney and Wings (the Summit 1977)
Elvis at The Rodeo!
First and most memorable were 2. Def Leopard and Michael Bolton. I was young,a nd my big sister took me. I almost fainted with Def Leopard, cause they were the it factor back then!

August 4, 1968 Sam Houston Col. The Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour - freaking fantastic! Oh the back up bands were Traffic with Stevie Windwood and Chicago!

The best, other than Hendrix, was Stevie Ray Vaugh who walked into a small club (500 people) in Longbeach and jammed for 3 hours.

Hmmmmnnn.....good question....

First rock concert.... Styx. The "Pieces of Eight" tour. Ugh, God I'm old...'78 or so??? Ian Hunter was the opening act. He left more of an impression. Went home high as a kite! The old man was....NOT pleased.

Lots of shows since then have been memorable...for many reasons. MOST memorable....tough call. But, I guess it's GOTTA be....

Todd Rundgren's "warm up" show for the "Arena" tour in 2008. Saw this 'show' in Todd's back yard on Kauai, HI. An amazing week....
