On average for an amateur photographer anywhere in the united states, 3 looks for 200 on digital includes Hair and MUA. In NYC a published fashion professional earns the rates you quoted and would have at least 25 national tearsheets to their name. As you said, you know Dave "personally", first you do not need to lie for him and second it is obvious why you are posting on his behalf. What I really do not understand is seeing as you are one of the ladies who have been getting shafted and trash talked behind your back by the two people you are here ass kissing for, why you would do that, or have you just decided it is easier to bend over and take it, than actually stand up for yourself? In the world of imaging they are known as ego-clickers, they all think they are great and they are all generally full of shit. Greatness is determined by their resume, not their ego or applause by the masses. One of the most well known Ego-clickers was from California, many young attractive ladies sung his praises as a professional photographer even though he never published anything of substance. He himself claimed to have shot for all kinds of people and publications, and the ladies flocked to him to get their photo taken. Today some of the images he took years ago have sold very well, so eventually he did become a real professional! See if you know who he is....

First, since I don't work with models on a regular basis and I don't work for "glamour" magazines, I don't have tear sheets. Just because I don't do this kind of work for publications doesn't mean it's not professional. And you couldn't come close do producing images like I do with a pro level camera or a cell phone.

Second, my work is published on a regular basis in trade magazine, magazine covers, corporate media, newspapers, web sites, slide shows, etc.

Third, I have met and photographed Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry. I worked for Hillary Clinton on her visit here after Katrina. I worked for Mitt Romney's campaign in a few cities. I worked for the Republican Party 2 years in a row for the Leadership Conference. I have photographed, in concert, The Rolling Stone, RUSH, Pearl Jam, Robert Plant, Rod Stewart, Megadeath, Melissa Etheridge, Hall & Oats, The B-52's, Smashmouth, Dr. John, Kenny Logins, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crow, The Beach Boys and so many others I can't even count. I have photographed so many celebrities I can't count. I have binders full of 8 X 10 photos of these people, many of them with me as well.

Oh, and for the record, here are a couple of nice flat lit, ring light shot from Patrick. I mean, it's not shot with a soft box and 2 honeycomb hair lights and rim lighting like mine or anything, just a single on camera ring light, so it must be "more" professional. And those hideous shadows behind her makes it soooo much better, doesn't it?
