Eggs

I guess some folks prefer Steak-umms over filet mignon, too. I didn't think the economy was that bad, but I guess it is.

Maybe some day everyone can afford filet again. It sure as hell won't be any time soon with this clown car administration. But don't worry, MAGA. Better days, and better eggs, are coming eventually.

And once again, for the record, my "special eggs" were $1.50 cheaper under Biden

Egg prices have decreased significantly, with the average cost of a dozen Grade A large eggs at $3.49 in September 2025, down from a peak of $6.23 in March 2025. This represents a decline of nearly 44% from their record high earlier in the year.

But please feel free to post your “objective and correct” data, but you can’t because it doesn’t exist. You’re wrong as usual.

From AI:

Why Conventional Prices Fluctuate Wildly

Bird Flu Impact: Avian influenza forces mass depopulation in large-scale farms, drastically cutting supply and sending prices soaring.

Supply & Demand: Conventional egg prices react quickly and dramatically to supply shocks, similar to gas prices.

That overall 40% number includes all eggs, so the commoner eggs must be down GREATER than 40% to offset the increase in your special eggs, according to you.

The families that need it the most are thankful for the egg price decreases. It’s too bad you’re not man enough to acknowledge a win for them, but fitting.

Thanks for sharing this important takeaway.

Just because your special eggs aren’t lower according to you, it doesn’t mean the portfolio of eggs aren’t down 40%. That overall 40% number includes all eggs, so the commoner eggs must be down GREATER than 40% to offset the increase in your special eggs.

The families that are struggling everyday are thankful for the egg price decreases. It’s too bad you’re not man enough to acknowledge a win for them, but fitting.

Also, the prices aren't lower "according to me", rather according to reality. Something I know MAGA always has trouble acknowledging.

Show me objective data that eggs aren’t down 40ish% from Trumps inauguration date to today.

You can’t because it doesn’t exist.

But I can.
On Trump's inauguration (Jan 20, 2025), the average U.S. price for a dozen large Grade A eggs was $4.95.

As of today (Jan 7, 2026), retail-advertised prices average around $2.86 per dozen.

That's a decrease of about 42% in one year.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!! !!!!
Since when has "objective data" mattered to MAGA? It never has before. Why now, all of a sudden?

I also now believe you don’t understand that just because eggs overall are down 42% since Trump took office, that some types of eggs could be down more or less than that. 42% is a big win for Trump.

I’ll be back in a day or so to post more data about egg prices.

Feel free to continue your farcical semi-rants.

You cited Large Grade A pricing earlier to get your % then averaged. When did you switch to all eggs?
Grade A or all grades doesn’t change the conclusion. It’s a rounding error, if that.

U.S. Retail Egg Prices (Dozen, Large Grade A – most common; other grades have minimal price differences at retail):
January 2025 (around Trump's inauguration): $4.95
Today (January 2026): $2.86 (latest BLS average)

Percentage change: Down 42.2% (from $4.95 to $2.86).

Grades AA, A, and B are rarely priced separately in stores (AA slightly higher if available; B lower and mostly for processing).

Just glad to be here to keep you honest with them rounding errors
Weird that nobody wants to talk about eggs any more.

(U.S. national average retail price for Grade A large eggs, per dozen, BLS data):January 2025 (Trump inauguration): ~$4.95

Now (mid-January 2026, latest BLS for Dec 2025): $2.71 (prices still trending down)

~45% decrease from inauguration levels, thanks to flock recovery after 2025 bird flu crisis. (Wholesale even lower at ~$0.38/dozen recently.)
