Is YMMV reality or an excuse?

As I drove around today and this thread popped back in my head, I do think that almost every encounter I have I tend to think that regardless of what the woman looks like, for that time, place and moment she is the sexiest thing to me. I try to reflect that to her by my body language, my touches, my kisses, etc. We all like to appeal to everyone. I ain't no George Clooney so I want the person I am sharing the tryst with to think that I am about to be with Anglea Joile or Anne Hathaway (whom I think is smokin' hot sexy) or Scarlett O'Hara (a "smoker" in her own right). If we are on the same page the experience will reflect as much.

Relax... we all know mileage varies and each experience may be different. It's sucks sometimes but it's just the way it is.

Wel here goes my .02 on this issue. When I first started in the biz many many moons ago i was considered a YMMV provider but with age come maturity and a better understanding. But as far as who to put the blame on it could go either way. There are many ways that a hobbyist can make the session he has with a provider go in another direction, i.e being egotistical or just a complete ass and demean the provider. (trust me have ran across a few of those and boy did they learn a few lessons) But the provider can also make a session go in another direction as well. But I have always said that what is good for the goose is not always good for the gander. You will never " click " with every provider just like we will not always "click " with every hobbyist. All one can do is be one's self and make the best of it. Just know that if she worked for one hobbyist and not another it is not solely her or his fault. There just wasn't chemistry and that is something you can never force to happen.
