And I wouldn't worry about college campuses becoming overrun with brothels if prostitution was ever legalized. It would never be legalized without restrictions; even your most liberal-minded societies with legalized prostitution have some common sense rules in place.

Legal doesn't mean unregulated, in fact it implies regulation. Also in many places they have limited legality which often means that independent providers are legal but being a pimp or running a brothel is not because of trafficking/coercion/organized crime concerns. There are many ways to decriminalize this thing of ours and many of the world's countries have paved the way with a model for us to follow and years of data to show its efficacy.
Also he keeps confusing "legal" with "socially acceptable", there are plenty of countries where it's still frowned upon in respectable society to frequent prostitutes but it's not illegal. The OP seems to be making the two equivalent. It's like cheating on your spouse, it's legal in this country but still morally reprehensible to a large portion of people.
This idea that we should keep it illegal because there would be mass hysteria in the streets, economic chaos, and a rapid degradation in morality is just silly. Slippery slope arguments are not valid, they are fallacies of logic.
p.s. The rest of the world openly makes fun of the U.S. attempts to legislate morality particularly sexual morality, and rightly so.
