If I Wasn't Controversial... Who Would I Be?

I don't know what is weirder: holy-roller hookers or holy-roller hobbyists...two sides of the same coin, I guess. I'm sure the Lord is super stoked that you still have sex for money (or pay money for sex) but that you won't do that when marriage is involved. Because that would be a sin. But not the sex/money exchange, that's totally cool. Originally Posted by alwaysonthemove

yes, it makes no sense, but what do you expect from her?
logica?
people who attend church or toss bible crap in your face arent logical

This thread has been very entertaining for me, thanks to all the posters. LOL. To Dahlia, I don't understand the logic but understand what you are saying. If it makes your life better, I'm happy for you. To everyone that disagrees with her position I can see it from your perspective as well, and understand their position.

Keep the posts coming folks, this has been a very interesting topic. Cant wait to see what else is said.

The thing about the hobby is it's supposed to be sex for fun. It's sex for just the pure, physical act of doing it. To be sure, the endorphins do work on one's emotions, but it's not love. Love is why you do (dumb) things like get married. Love makes you put your friends on the back burner or buy a mini van when you'd rather have a Dodge Challenger.

We have providers because there's a market for guys who just want to get laid. Sure, sometimes guys see providers and don't get laid, but everyone knows that's the exception to the rule. I, for one, applaud Dalia's decision to do what she feels she needs to do. She realizes that the choice she's made is worth the price of the business she stands to lose. She's smart.

What I wonder about, though, is the sex that goes on in the hobby truly meaningless? If it were, what would it matter if your partner were married? Lots of providers are yoked to a significant other and their career choice seems to work for them. And I've assumed that's because when the lady goes out and does her thing, it's work. Work that could be augmented by orgasms, but work nonetheless. And when she's done with a client, there's no emotional tie.

But when I think about what Dahlia's done, it seems that there is a possibility of an emotional tie to the job - at least for some people. And if that's the case, it must be a whole lot harder to be a provider than I thought it would be - at least for some women.

So, I read this thread a few times and had to do some serious sifting through non sequitors to get to the meat.

First, this is not the first time someones religious nonsense came up on this board. But since I don't participate in that sort of myth it doesnt effect me. However, I always find it strange. Out of all the hobbies a Jesus Crispy can choose, why choose one deeply seeded in vice? I think this is the wrong missionary to roll with.

Second, no one cares. Seriously. Your relationship with god is as relevant as someone getting a gay marriage. Its no ones business. However, if you need to set these parameters so you may live yourself, more power to you. But seriously-give it a rest because no one cares. Its amazing how many of your new clients will be single though.

Anyway, I copied Gemma's post to echo her thoughts here.

P.S.-Burn the churches!

I know, she doesn't have to justify it but how many times have providers had to explain why they don't do X or see person Y. It just becomes good business to put it out there in front to avoid the disappointment. I have no dog in the hunt as I am not married nor very religious. I also don't make disparging comments about burning churches.

This is a very entertaining post! Nice job lady's & gents. Please don't give up so easily, keep going. Lol. Damn, I didn't ever want to agree with GEMMA on anything! But she's a smart women with good sense of her businesses. Claws do spring out like Kitty's should! Wow. Too the gents with religious conviction, guys, STFU. Your the guys always trying to stop an innocent cat fight! Just to seem nice! But y'all stink like VAG. Anyway carry on!
Based on this thread, I have now decided, due to my convications, I am only going to see good looking providers. No ugly ones are allowed anymore. Dahlia makes the cut though, so she's safe...but beware ugly women of KC, you might not be so fortunate.

agreed

people go to church for the same reason they have funerals; for themselves
the dead or your zombie lord arent going to care what you do.

Dalihia has shown her moronic side, by rejecting men who are married.
like chick-fila lost gay business by whatever they did

yeah She can keep going to church and spreading your legs without being married for money and I'll just worship milk

Poster number 68. #68. Come to the office please, we have a hat for you. It will fit...

Poster #69. I second the motion not to bang. Good call. Now, back to your books
There is no doubt some mean ass, ugly people on this board. After reading some asinine comments I was going to respond, but DD did a great job (bravo my good man).

I will just say what I have already said to you again.

I'm proud of you Dahlia. Originally Posted by JS42

Good Lord people, why can't you just allow others to make their own decisions without the need to deride or belittle those decisions?? There have been several comments made that are simply repugnant.

I don't have to share Dahlia's faith, I don't have to share her morals, I don't have to understand her logic. However, I can and I do respect her views the same way I would expect others to respect mine.

We all have a set of morals that we live by. Whether we come by those morals by way of religious belief or by our own thinking, our morals tell us when we are acting right, and when we aren't. I do hope that no one here is pretending that they always live up to their own standards of right and wrong. That would make you perfect. You make peace with your conscience in whatever way suits you, and allow Dahlia to make peace with her conscience. Her beliefs don't have to be your beliefs for them to make sense to her.

Is that really so hard??
Captain, reading between the lines, I would guess that her biggest hang up is not wanting to betray a third party (client's wife).

And it makes sense.....less about what is or isn't a sin and more about not wanting to hurt the wife.
