what the above says is your answers if you're really interested in an answer. seems that's about a 50/50 possibility from reading this thread.

artsy fartsy is fine for a few but it general paints an idea of something being modified and turns more attention away from you. sure there is exceptions.

best pics, color and actual selfies that are done good. most guys want to see what you actually look like. a selfie paints the idea it's an actual pic of you with no modifications done. and most guys want to see the girl from the pic's when they meet her. I doubt many are into surprises when it comes to that jewel of information. unexpected generally equals bad.

Working towards graduate or law school, I don't intend to post face pics. I do understand, and appreciate, the thought process of wanting to see them. That and one tattoo (for identification purposes only) are the only things I willfully try to hide.

I feel the same about B&W being easier to hide things wit, but I like the look of them over color. (Most of the time.)
