Had a great time at the game today.

Me thinks there's something special going on!

GO COWBOYS!!
DAK Prescott tied Don Meredith’s 50-year-old club record for quarterbacks with his fifth rushing touchdown AND The 21-year-old Elliott, the N.F.L.’s rushing leader, had 97 yards, giving him 1,199 for the season so far.

The Dallas/Washington game on Turkey Day is the highest rated/viewed game so far this year in the NFL. A total of 36+ million viewers, almost 37 million. 4 of the 5 top rated games this year in the NFL have been with the Cowboys. The Turkey Day game was the highest rated regular season game EVER on FOX.

One of my things I like to do is watch ESPN Stephen A Smith on Mondays after the normal Sunday Cowboys games. If you dont know Mr Smith, he is a cowboy hater.

Here are his comments after the loss to the Giants in the first game of the year.

Here are Mr. Smith's comments after the Turkey Day game on Friday.

If, perchance, the Cowboys go to the Super Bowl and win.........I expect Mr. Smith to stroke out right on national TV.

Now loyal fans of the Patriots, Steelers, Iggles, etc have taken exception to that nickname over the years...mostly because they felt their own team was much more deserving than Dallas.

But, the number$ $peak for themselves......just ask Fox, ESPN, ABC, CBS, NFL Network (have I left anyone out?) how they feel about it....they'll tell ya exactly how it i$.

I really love listening to Stephen A. Smith on ESPN after another Cowboys win. He will stroke out if Cowboys win the SB.

Go to You Tube and search for "ESPN First Take NFL Dec 2, 2016."
The Cowboys were lucky to get that win in Minnesota ..... and by Dak's standards that certainly wasn't one of his better efforts ..... but I have to say I continue to be amazed by his poise and leadership abilities ..... you don't see that very often with rookie QBs .....
Cowboys clinch playoff berth after Redskins' loss

The Cowboys (11-1) are in the playoffs.
(WE WANT HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE THROUGHOUT THE PLAYOFFS)
(WE ARE NOT LEAVING TEXAS, THE SUPER BOWL IS IN HOUSTON)

Wouldn't that be something if the HOUSTON TEXANS could win the AFC?
Maybe i am reaching a bit too high, but is a possibility. lol
HOUSTON TEXANS REMAINING OPPONENTS: at Colts (5-6), vs. Jaguars (2-10), vs. Bengals (4-7-1), at Titans (6-6) They are currently in position to win their division and are 4th seed.

Dallas clinched a spot on Sunday after the division-rival Redskins (6-5-1) lost to the Cardinals in Arizona, 31-23. They are the first team this year to punch their ticket.

After taking care of business in Minnesota on Thursday Night Football, Jerry Jones and Co. simply had to sit back and watch the Redskins open the door for their first postseason appearance since 2014 and second since 2009.

Washington had a chance to spoil the party, but a late comeback attempt ended with a Kirk Cousins interception.

The only other playoff scenario finalized on Sunday was the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) officially getting eliminated with a 20-10 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Dallas has a prime-time date with the 8-4 Giants on Sunday Night Football this week.

At this point, it seems like the rest of the NFC East will eat itself alive while Dallas coasts into January. The Giants faltered with a golden opportunity against the Steelers on Sunday. The Eagles, far removed from the conversation, also lost. On the heels of the NFL's leading rusher, Ezekiel Elliott, and fantastic rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys will head into the postseason as a heavy Super Bowl favorite for the first time this decade -- and with far fewer top-tier teams to contend with than when Dallas went 12-4 and made the playoffs two years ago.

To say the Cowboys were lucky to win that game last Thursday (vs Minnesota) is to infer the Vikings on the flipside were "unlucky" to lose it. And I'm not sure that would be the case.

Simple truth, Dallas was a more balanced team and they figured out a way to combat a number of things: (1) a team that was desperate to get a win, (2) a stadium filled to capacity with rabid (loud) fans and (3) last but not least, a crew of referees who were hell bent on making some very questionable calls (ALL night long).

The stat sheet didn't look great by the end of that game......but they did earn a hard fought victory. I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day of the week.

I have been checking the Weather.com website for the forecast for Sunday's game with the Giants. It looks like Cowboys luck will hold. It appears that the game will take place during a 36-48 hour warming trend between a couple of fronts. Sunday's forecast is 41 for a high and 38 for the low with only 10% chance of precipitation. The day after the game temps drop and there is 70% chance of precipitation...I hope the team doesn't get held up by weather at the airport on the way home.
If the weather was to be a lot worse than what you're reporting, Papa, I would like to think the Cowboys (offense) has been built to succeed in those type of (harsh) conditions vs what the Giants offense brings to the party.

Dallas is a running team (Ranked 2nd / NFL @ 156 ypg) vs the Giants (Ranked 31st / NFL @ 77.5 ypg).

Both teams' defenses do well vs the run (Dallas 2nd / allowing 82 ypg vs the Giants 5th / allowing 91 ypg).

Neither teams' D is highly ranked vs the pass (Dallas 29th / allowing 276 ypg....NY is 25th / allowing 266 ypg).

Both teams' offenses are practically even passing the ball ( Dallas 19th ranked / 240 ypg....NY 16th ranked / 250 ypg).

Gather and deduce what you will from the aforementioned numbers. Bottom line, if Zeke can hit the Giants' front seven for significant gains while the Cowboys secondary minimizes ODB's targets, they should win what will prolly be another tightly contested NFC East game.

Id be cautious gentleman. There is only ONE win that counts. The championship win. I think the playoffs will be really interesting.

Funny no crowing over the game last night, Giants 10, Cowdorks 7 with Bryant coughing up a timely (for NY) fumble!
