What you, and many others fail to grasp or simply intentionally ignore, is that one's identification with one party or another does not mean that person mindlessly follows the "themes" and "issues" announced by the party's committee or decision makers or always votes for the candidates elected or appointed in primary stages of the election. I don't recall ever voting a "straight ticket" (meaning all one party or another), and have taken the time to review the various candidates (some of them I have already had personal knowledge) and then taken the time to go through the ballot and mark the candidate I wanted to win, as opposed to the party for which they were a candidate.
When one party or the other ends up with candidates that individual members of the party feel they cannot support they vote for another candidate or as was apparently the case this past year just don't vote for any of them for that particular office.
I realize the above explanation doesn't fit into your childish, pointless labeling and dismissive name-calling, but one day when you mature you will realize that pigeon-holing people in offensive and marginalizing categories is inaccurate and immature.
Kind of like saying Trump claims all Muslims are "terrorists" or all Mexicans are murderers and rapists!
