..... I was agreeing with the assessment that she is a silly twat, and I agree with that assessment because she is a fame whore. .......And I'm still not clear on why people think I'm a liberal? Still? Really? Do none of you actually read a single word?

Liberal? maybe/maybe not. But one thing for certain; you are not fanatic conservative because you do not see the conservative point of view as blindly as they do.
We should try to understand Sara; we don't have to like her.
The ultra conservative is many times an ultraconservative religious person as well (Sara P. is an Assembly of God, and she received a lot of voter support from the A of G church, and related churches).
The ultra right groups have made a big push to take over the Republican Party: case in point, the Kansas Caucus groups (many church groups sent members to the caucus meetings and because few attended they took control) were taken over to the point that the party changed and many of the older, and wiser, Republican leaders left the party to become Democrats. With the loss of the old time center position Republican (and older Ronald R. type Republicans) the party swung further to the right.
It is that ultra right portion of the Republican Party that Sara P is trying to keep happy for the next election. She has succeeded to a large part, and her work is not yet over. Even if she does not (I don't think she has a chance, and I don't think she believes she has a chance.) of getting the nomination; she will already have won a place for a lifetime bigger future job in the R. party. Why, because she will have helped hold a large number of votes for the Republicans. The backing and financial support that she has is not just for her - but to defeat Obama.
Will that block of votes, by itself, win an election? NO! However, that conservative block is needed to be combined with the rest of the R. Party to help it win a political position.
In the same way, one can not doubt that the black vote helped to put Obama in office: along with the great number of Democrats that just did not like the war, any war, regardless of the need to respond after 9-11.
Don't count Sara P. out of the picture. She is out beating the bushes, recruiting volunteer troops for the next election, whether she is the nominee or not. Those volunteers have already begun the political work with a missionary zeal that no amount of money can buy. There is a hatred in this land by many for Obama, and the work to make him a one term president began before he took office.
The ultra conservative mind is just as frightening as the communist ultra left mind. In the end, neither one is likely to last long as a single governing body. Obama is about as far left as this country has ever swung; because of his positions, he will not last long: the conservative right will work very hard to see that he does not. The Republican Party is not the party of the rich, and it never was - regardless of the propaganda of the Democratic party.
That is why the Republican Party needs Sara; she is needed to raise hell, and recruit, organize, and motivate the ordinary people, the socially inferior, and the uncouth masses.
She is the ultimate rabble rouser!
