In this situation it was obvious that a lot of assumptions were being made and a lot of misinformation was being put forth. All of this was clouding the interpretation of how the guideline concerning outing, and the threat of outing, is enforced. We cannot, and will not discuss the specifics of anyone's infraction, but we are not going to let erroneous information lead other members down the path toward violating that guideline as well. Neither are we going to let that information scare the membership into thinking we will invoke that punishment for erroneous reasons.
