So You Want to "Arm" Teachers?

No their not. They're in the classroom teaching. If and when they hear shots fired their weapon can be pulled and a round chambered. Originally Posted by Budman

Like a lot of other unrealistic scenarios proposed on here it assumes a "best case scenario" and when one is planning to address safety and security issues one does not "assume" a "best case scenario" when instituting a security plan. That was 911! It was also the Florida shooting and just about every other school massacre. I would venture to say every multiple shooting massacre.

Have you EVER talked to a law enforcement officer who went around on duty with an empty chamber in his duty weapon? Have you ever even heard of one doing such a dumb thing?

As for the second amendment, Most people do not feel like teachers having guns is within being a well regulated militia.

Here is a good way of looking at it though. keep in mind it is all part of the definition not just the latter part.

The problem with that is in todays screwed up society most teachers are mentally ill Liberals that teach children liberal bullshit. So that just puts guns in the hands of the mentally ill which is what we are suppose to be avoiding.

We do it government buildings, the Capitol, the White House, and airports. We don't arm the flight attendants, ticket agents or gate attendants at airports as a first line of defense. We also don't arm the Senators or Representatives to stop intruders or court reporters, clerks, and other court personnel as a "first line of defense." So why do we put our children at risk with foolishness?

Speaking of "cans" ... he should have canned the one on the right.

But Kerry was worse.

Airport security is there to prevent weapons from getting onto a plane not to prevent mass killings prior to the checkpoint. Arming teachers may not prevent all school shootings but it will most likely limit the casualties. Carrying a weapon does not guarantee a positive outcome if confronted by a criminal with intent to kill but it does give you a better chance of survival.

Oh, yea, now I remember!

I suppose what I'm trying to figure out is why we want to take some pansy, wimp Liberal and strap them up with a "gun" they don't like in the first place and spend a shit load of money training them to use the WEAPON in a school building without too much "collateral damage" ... when ... and you want to make sure that none of their firearms have a round in the chamber and your equal pro-teacher partner on here wants to lock the trigger so if it is STOLEN from the teacher while she has it lying around her desk ... the little turds can't shoot someone with it THAT DAY ... UNLESS OF COURSE they hold down the teacher and force her pinky onto the "BIOMETRIC" BUTTON!!!!! before they shoot his or her ass with it!

we can install metal detectors and QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS who need some additional training in how to talk to little smart ass turds whose parents didn't teach them any better to PREVENT mass shooters from coming onto the property and/or inside the building.

Not because of the 2nd Amendment I'm sure!

Sir: YOU CAN SECURE A SCHOOL at the perimeter. It may cause some "anxiety" to see all those mean looking people and all that equipment that makes funny noises ... BUT .... by the time they become adults they will accept airport et al security and not whine and bitch about it ...

.... they'll also more than likely not have the enlightening and rewarding experience of seeing their best friends guts strewn all over the floor where there stomach was shredded open by semi-auto weapon fire and slip down in their shit that came out from relaxing ass muscles when they died.

But arm the teachers!

BTW Have you found any LE officers on duty with an empty chamber yet?

University of Texas at SA
St. Mary's University
San Antonio Community College

Continuing public schools ...

Harlandale ISD ..

http://www.harlandale.net/department...istrict_police

When I taught there we didn't even have fucking AC in the classrooms!!!! Had to get PTA to buy FANS for the rooms ... ripe on Wednesday afternoon after Mexican Food Day!!! No PD department. On campus it was the male teachers (not all!) and the coaches who dealt with the shit. Unarmed!

But the HISD Administration Building had AC and a new building! $$$$$$$$

Do some background on all this cost shit you mention ... how much is a student worth? Even in the Harlandale ISD?

Since you're so familiar with "Bexar County" schools .... Was HISD one of those rich schools like the one in Florida? I had weapons check in my classes as they came in the door ... pat downs and shit goes in the box (at the end of the day they could back and pick up their shit so they could get home!) ... they put the "bad turds" in my classes ... shuffled at the beginning of the year ....

.... don't talk to me about teachers and "safety" ..

Doesn't have a damn thing to do with "money"!!! It's parents and the fucking Liberals who have created a day care nursery environment with "feel good" undisciplined bullshit ... I ran boot camp the first six weeks ... today you can't even say "damn" and you're done if you put your hands on one even if they try to knock the shit out of you!

Here's a list of public school PDs in Texas ...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._(K%E2%80%9312)

Sheriff's assign officers and small towns assign their officers in addition to the school district that have a stand alone police force. I haven't been on a college campus that didn't have cops on it in Texas.

All this hand wringing and fretting is a bunch of bullshit.

Not that perspective or critical thinking matters these days, but uhmmm... in Sandy Hook and Parkland an AR15 was reportedly used. First of all, those things are about 30 inches long and weigh about 9 lbs, typically. Plus, they are kinda bulky overall, especially when fitted up with extra hardware. So how the heck did either of them waltz across the school grounds, up to a door, through the lobby, into a hallway without being noticed?

Almost forgot, in Sandy Hook they had an airlock entry system. Kinda like some banks overseas. Where you walk into a vestibule area, they lock the door behind you before unlocking the door in front of you to enter, after screening you in between - either though intercom or visually. I think in Sandy Hook it may have been via a window/counter in the vestibule area.

So before anyone starts yammering on about spending untold gobs-o-tax-payer_moolah for the security standards needed, think if even basic precautions could be used more effectively. We know both schools had video monitors in place.

In pursuit of basic precautions, arming teachers is NOT a good solution. However, disarming armed and trained teachers and placing them in a gun-free zone is far worse.

Frankly, and this is the hard part for some minds to grasp; many realize that public schools are indoctrination camps for kiddies. I'm just stating it frankly. So what is the ultimate outcome of putting in place a total lock-down mentality with obtrusive security? Ultimately, the little urchins are conditioned to accept it as part of normal daily occurrence - being corralled, shook down, patted down, magnetometerized and herded into locked rooms within a locked building with small, bullet proof windows up high. All the while with them not actually knowing that this methodology is just like the way prisons are managed.

That will make life in a FEMA camp seem almost normal and civilized in their future world.
