As someone who does request a photo when I screen, I can tell you it has saved me twice just this year.
Two of our members turned over their profiles. When I screened I asked for a photo. When I sent one to a reference she immediately send me a message and said that’s not who I saw. Appointment denied!
The second kept me from walking into a room because the person who answered the door didn’t match the photo. I’m sorry I have the wrong room. I’m looking for my dad. Oops. Wrong floor.
So yes asking for a photo does work to screen and keep us safe. Just because you chose not to use it, don’t make it harder for those of us that do know how to use it to stay safe. My playroom. My rules. Everyone that has seen me will tell you my screening is worth it and I can be trusted with your information.
BTW, I have over 34 years in this industry. I was teaching others when you were in diapers.
