How Mitch McConnell could give impeachment the Merrick Garland treatment

Quote:
McConnell himself didn’t respond when asked by reporters earlier this week whether he’d even allow the Senate to hold a Trump trial, though he did show his cards in a
statement to POLITICO that the latest presidential quagmire was “laughable to think this is anywhere close to an impeachable offense.”
WTF . . . WTF?
SERIOUSLY?

Trump, as we now know, has been placing transcripts with foreign leaders on this secure server for several years due to leaks. suddenly the Democrats think this is an "abuse of power". their claim of "deal making" is also false and the Ukraine president has said so.
this is going to bring down Biden, not Trump. the last thing Biden needed was renewed scrutiny of his own abuse of power and his son riding his coattails to make sweet deals with China and Ukraine entities in which he has no expertise except he's Corn Pop's boy.
you almost wonder if the Democrats are doing this on purpose to get rid of Corn Pop in favor of the leftists like Warren or Bernie, neither of which can defeat Trump. the core of the Democratic party is moderate and will not vote for Bernie or Warren for president. they will either vote for Trump or not vote at all which is nothing short of a disaster for the Democrats. they needed a candidate that could rally the full Democratic base and neither Warren or Bernie are that candidate.
