Bob Woodward new book "Rage"

The action he failed to take was mainly not letting the people know the possible seriousness of covid. When he clearly stated on the tape it was easily transmitted via respiratory means and 5 times more lethal than flu.

After that the action he failed to take was to initiate mitigation factors such as masks and distancing.

The answer to your question as to what could anyone do about a new virus that no one knows about is simple.

Initiate early aggressive widespread testing followed by masking and distancing.

These are certain conventions that hold for virus outbreaks that are well known.Other countries have utilized them and managed much better than we have.

They have not had near the medical damage or the economic damage we have had and continue to have.

btw since at least 16,000 of those deaths you so desperately want to blame directly on Trump were the result of Cuomo placing covid patients in nursing homes are ya gonna subtract those from Evil Lord Trump's "death count"?

this whole idea of holding Trump accountable for negligent homicide is beyond stupid. yeah the left actually floated that recently.

Media Now Suggesting Trump May Be Guilty Of ‘Negligent Homicide’ For Coronavirus Response

just one of many. you can google for more if you like. or not.

meanwhile Cuomo is resisting any similar talk.

CUOMO’S LEADERSHIP Has Amounted to Negligent Homicide

Cuomo rejects independent investigation of nursing home coronavirus deaths as political

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cuo...-investigation

you can't make a case for negligent homicide for either Trump or Cuomo or any other Governor. Cuomo like Trump did not make decisions in a vacuum. not a fan of Andy but negligent homicide is ridiculous. same for Trump.

if you want to go down that slippery slope then every time there is a bad storm and someone dies would you charge the town mayor with negligence? the EMS chief? the fire chief?

someone dies after a traffic accident in route to the hospital. charge the EMS tech's with HOMICIDE!

see how stupid this is??

It’s horseshit, every bit of it. Nothing we did or will do makes any difference whatsoever. This virus will do what it’s going to do, just like every other. It was far to late to stop it, not that it ever could’ve been in a modern, traveling society, back when Democrats were promoting partying in the streets and President Trump was issuing travel bans. The only way it could’ve been stopped was nuking China when the first case appeared. As soon as the first person stepped on a plane out of Wuhan it was all over but the crying.
It's shit. Just meant to influence the election in Biden's favor.
190000 deaths. Lies about severity of the problem.

Idiot Crew in the ECCIE political forum initially followed Trumps lead in downplaying severity of the virus and claiming it was a hoax (unlike the Idiot crew Trump was well aware of the truth that it was a real problem).
Then the Idiot Crew followed him in argument after argument that it was like the flu with some claiming that the flu was more deadly (unlike the Idiots Trump knew it was at least 5x more deadly).
Then the Idiots followed him in stating masks not needed (unlike the Idiots Trump knew it was airborne).
Now the Idiots are pulling a pretzel and twisting themselves in knots rather than just admitting they are Idiots.
The number of deaths soley due to COVID are relatively miniscule.
The schools, stores, malls, parks, airports, etc are open for bidny. The Texans will get slaughtered by the Chiefs tonight. The only thing protecting everybody supposedly is a thin layer of paper over your

The 100,000 people who died where old and moribund anyway.

But keep the panic going. There's really no proof much of this makes a difference.

I remember the Cuban Missile crisis in the early 60's.
JFK did a speech letting the American people know of the possible threat.
It was scary.I remember my mom being worried.People were alarmed rightfully so.
There was no panic.A few people in my neighborhood built bomb shelters in their backyards.

But JFK was a real president.A statesman.

What do Obama and Biden have to do with Trump and his fuck up ?

What do Governors have to do with Trump and his fuck up ?

Trump knew ! And had he initiated mitigation efforts just a few weeks earlier than he eventually did ; he could have saved us from uncalled for morbidity and mortality. Not to speak of also saving us from a significant amount of the economic damage he has brought. Most on here are afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome. They are the ones Trump refers to when he brags that "He could go out on 5th Ave. in New York City and shoot someone, and these supporters would be ok with it".

I think you and I could post that The Earth is Round and they would contest it saying that it is flat.

No one is asserting that the virus could have been stopped ; but anyone denying that we could have been better prepared for what was to come and Mitigated it is way off base.

That means the impact would have been lessened.

All this year these guys on here have been parroting Trump's public statements of downplay. Many have gone to great lengths to try to show it is the same as regular flu. That masks are not needed.

Trump shut down China travel in march, 2020.

DumBlasio Cuomo and pelosi encouraged their sheeple to be out and about and attend festivals in march, 2020.

Trump said (with his shutdown) - in effect -' the earth is round."

and was accused of being a dictatorial xenophobe for his action by the marxist DPST's.

We still don't know and I've yet to hear a single lefty say what "really" should have been done that Trump didn't do or wasn't on top of.

It's pure hyperbole to be blaming Trump and only Trump when all the experts were saying in Feb/March that there wasn't cause for concern and at that time were explicitly saying masks were not the right answer.

This latest set of supposed "revelations" from Woodward's book are a joke and I see them losing momentum by moment as people realize that Hillary or moving forward Biden, would not have handled this any better.

But keep on with the hindsight attacks on Trump. Those who are actually following all of this see that you are just Monday morning Quarterbacks trying for another reason to bitch about Trump.

Woodward must have run out of money - and is desperate for a financial infusion from a tawdry book.

a shame a former 'journalist' is now just an arm of the LSM propaganda machine.

He is going to be on 60 minutes this weekend talking about his new book with audio excerpts from the 9 hours of tapes he has from the 18 interviews with Trump from December 2019 - July 2020.

Here's Trump admitting that he played down the threat of Covid after all.

I read Woodward's other book about Trump, "Fear." It was OK, but nothing special. "Trump Revealed" by Kranish and Fisher, the definitive biography that covers the period up to his election, was much more entertaining. I've just started on Michael Cohen's book, "Disloyal," and so far, after about 20 pages, it's the pick of the litter, absolutely riveting. And, for completeness' sake, I started on Bolton's book, "The Room Where it Happened", but gave up not far into it -- it's pretty dry reading.
