There are still over 100 million people in the USA that have not been infected or vaccinated. For herd immunity to kick in it's at least 70% of the population that needs to be infected and or vaccinated.

Who ever did the convincing is either intentionally lying or also totally ignorant of the realities of the spread of fatal diseases.
Example: When AIDS was first detected in this country and began to receive recognition by the medical community generally, I had a regular lady friend (not a provider) who was an operating room nurse and worked all her hours in the operating rooms at the hospital where she was assigned. She was told at the hospital and shared with me that aids was spread with sexual intercourse ... vaginal or anal.
She described the "new" protective gear required for them to wear and their weekly blood tests at the end of their work week. The gear was to protect them from body fluids discharged into the air during surgeries and the extra cleansing they were required to endure after each surgery ....
... so I asked: Are you all having sex in the operating rooms during surgery? (It was a rhetorical question!)
Now that brings up another question: Why weren't we going through all of the bullshit back during the Aids Epidemic?
