Let's forget your utter lack of understanding about business.

I simply asked a question - why do you hate free speech so much to be against Elon Musk trying to restore it to Twitter and make the product he bought much better?

Simple question - why are you so afraid to answer it Originally Posted by berryberry

Morally, perhaps is where you are stuck in thinking that he somehow is a better head of stack, to run the place, and not have the departments that were considered important, and you think they are not, since they may not change the input of dialogue on a free board where you can say anything you want. I thing that's what you're going on about.

I've already addressed the reasons for those departments and since you've breezed past those, the only thing any normal person would think is you don't understand what ethics or liability online by a board means. There are reasons you cannot post hate speech and outright lies / comments on bulletin boards on the highway, and they likely are similar to here.

I do think that free speech is fine- but I always have adhered to the ideology that the speech is based on facts and not bullshit. I think if that's what is done- then fine.

We could go on and on, about the facts or allegations on each person in politics or elsewhere. I just don't think that allegations need the support of a format when those same assertions are know to be false.

ALternative facts can live in your head-

none for me thanks

In another example of more woke left wing bullshit, Woke = left wing bullshit, when Elon Musk was making cuts at Twitter, executives recommended making sure they fired enough whites and men. Musk and his team brushed them off.

This is the sickness the left has brought to our country

Who determines what are facts and what is bullshit? As we have seen time and time again, from the Clinton Funded Russia Hoax, to many takes on Covid - what you and others argued where facts were actually bullshit. And what others argued that you claimed to be bullshit were the actual real facts.

So far, you have brought up twitter, Russian hoaxes, Hunter Biden and his laptop, businesses and valuations, and finally covid. Holy shit balls my man, you are all over the map on this thread.

And while you may want me to reply to something specific, last time I checked freedom of speech allows me to respond to the things that I want to.

My prediction stands that Twitter, whatever version, is sinking

Passing the American Rescue act.
helicopter dump fed fiat money into the economy. won't cause inflation! right???

Lower drug costs for seniors.
big pharma has been an issue for decades. what took either party this long to cut it off? lobbying by big pharma! who knew?

Chips act where a multi billion dollar commitment to building chips domestically has occured.
Trump wanted to cut this off by bringing back US based jobs before the pandemic. Biden is only doing this because the pandemic exposed what Trump was saying about China all along.

Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
chalk full of wasteful woke speak spending nonsense. green nonsense. racist roads let's replace them nonsense.

Passing climate bills
woke nonsense. climate change is an income redistribution scam. always has been. let's give away our money in terms of climate "retribution" for our prosperity thinking it will lift these 3rd world nations into prosperity. not!

Passing Student loan programs
what bill or program? you mean Biden overstepping his authority by trying to use executive orders to eliminate college debt? that's going to be slapped down by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional? because it is.

Bills to avoid a government shutdown and keep the federal government running.
every president for decades has had to agree to Congress's wasteful spending to avoid a shutdown. nothingburger. end Congress's wasteful spending and such nonsense wouldn't happen.

Juneteenth National Independence Day Act.
i'm fine with this as long as blacks acknowledge their own massive involvement in the slave trade. otherwise NO. and they STFU about reparations.

It must kill you and your "prediction" to see that new user signups are at record numbers and advertisers are returning as Elon continues to improve the product and is aiming to be as transparent and fair as possible in his effort to correct what has been wrong for so long.

And quite frankly, while I am sure Elon would love to make a lot more money owning Twitter, that was not the reason he bought it. Twitter was a money losing pit BEFORE he bought it. But Elon has fuck you money and did it anyway.

Elon was just asked tonight in a live 2 hour twitter spaces talk why he bought Twitter. This was his answer:

"My biological neural net concluded it's important to buy Twitter. If Twitter was not bought and steered in a good direction it would be a danger for the future of civilization. And so that's why I bought it."

Is this a case of Johnny Mnemonic meets Skynet or the folks at Innotek are going to put new coversheets on their TPS Reports?

The compelling reason to purchase a social platform for Elon, is for him to be in control of speech, and thinking. The method he used to acquire the company was both aggressive/ hostile, and the termination of employees the same.

So how would he deal with things, that he doesn't think he aligns with- or a "good direction"? The answer is above. Harshly and hostilely.

Hardly the definition of free speech.

Why don't you provide proof of that statement?

speaking of tax cuts, why have corporate income tax revenues actually increased?
If this is a true statement, it's probably because corporations are doing better since covid

Let me ask you a question Waco. What happens when you cut taxes Durning a hot economy?

Waco. Your link to the centersquare.com is from the morons at the Heartland Institute.

"The Heartland Institute is an American conservative and libertarian public policy think tank known for its rejection of both the scientific consensus on climate change and the negative health impacts of smoking."

There's some real think tank action there for ya. Smoke em if you got em!!!

I'm fairly certain that almost any point or counterpoint can be found online. Here's from the WSJ..

The savings rate in the U.S. was 17% higher in 2018 than in 2017, according to data from the Commerce Department cited by the Wall Street Journal, and it has continued to trend upward this year. Part of the increase can be attributed to a boost after President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect. But not everyone has benefited equally, the Journal reports.

"While the latest saving data aren't broken down by income, some economists say the recent rise is likely being driven by the wealthy," the Journal reports, noting that an estimated three-fourths of the increase in savings since the tax cut took effect has benefited the wealthiest 10% of Americans.

Elon has done more to help preserve free speech than anyone in DC has done for years. It's amazing you are either so jealous of him or so bent out of shape that libtard led censorship at the behest of the government will no longer exist on Twitter that you don't understand that.

But hey, maybe this will cheer you up. Amazon is resuming advertising on Twitter for $100 million a year
